"And I'm wearing this because...?" Faith asked, standing on a box in the middle of the motel room while Cordy was pinning the hem of the gown up.
"Tru's busy, she's in class all week, not to mention all the work she has to do on the weekend," Cordelia said through a mouth full of pins. "You guys have the same measurements. Nice work, by the way. Demon pregnancies are awesome for the figure, right?"
Faith sighed again, wondering how Tru had talked her into this, and why she had agreed in the first place.
The gown was fairly simple, in terms of design. Empire waisted, strapless, white satin, with intricate beading and lace on the bodice.
"You're not going to make me put a veil on, are you?" Faith asked, being unusually patient.
"Not this time," Cordy said, winking. "Nah, I can probably catch Tru for that. This was something a little more time consuming."
There was a long pause before Faith spoke again.
"God, never have a daughter."
Sam & Dean
"No, this was definitely the place," Sam insisted as he and Dean came through the door unannounced.
They stopped dead in their tracks, like deer in headlights.
After a moment, Dean spoke.
"This is supposed to be bad luck, isn't it? The groom seeing the bride before the wedding?"
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia snickered around the mouthful of pins.
"Don't think I won't kick you in the face," Faith warned her. She glanced over at Dean and Sam.
"Ah... Tru was busy. I somehow got talked into this."
Sam & Dean
Sam's eyebrows rose.
"Right. Of course," Dean hit his brother on the shoulder before walking over to his bed and collapsing down onto it.
"Hey, Cordelia," Sam nodded in delayed greeting.
Cordelia and Faith
"Hey," Cordelia replied. She took a step back. "Ok, so... how does it feel?"
"It feels wonderful," Faith told her sarcastically. "A little tight on the chest area, but - "
"Yours are bigger than Tru's," Cordy dismissed, waving her hand. "So it'll be fine for her. I think that's it. Great, I can take that to be altered."
"So... I can get changed?"
"Sure can."
Faith stepped down off the stool and headed for the bathroom.
Cordelia smirked slightly as she disappeared.
Sam & Dean
"Wow," Sam breathed with a grin as he put his stuff down.
"Put your tongue back in your mouth," Dean mused, pulling his boots off and flinching at the smell that ensued.
Cordelia and Faith
"It's amazing, put her in a dress and she actually passes for a girl," Cordelia put in.
"Shut up, I heard that. Both of you," Faith called from the bathroom.
Cordelia grinned slightly. "Sorry about the intrusion. Faith's a sucker when Tru asks her for something."
"Heard that too!"
Dean & Sam
"Oh we know," Dean assured.
"I don't suppose you have any photographic evidence of what we just saw?" Sam half smiled, hopefully.
Cordelia
"Actually," Cordelia said, nodding at her bag that was laying open on one of the beds. "I had to take photos so Tru would know how it looked."
She finished packing away the sewing equipment.
"Faith has a connector cable somewhere, if you want to nab it."
Sam & Dean
"I've got one," Sam nodded, going to his laptop bag.
Dean fetched the camera while Sam set it up, and they had the photos in no time.
"Now you need a printer so you can keep them in your wallet," Dean teased his brother.
"Shut up."
Cordelia and Faith
"Young love," Cordelia teased quietly.
Faith opened the door to the bathroom, the dress carefully hanging over her arm.
"And my dress...?"
Cordelia just smiled innocently. "I know what suits you. Don't worry."
Dean & Sam
"But she'll need a fitting for it, right?" Dean looked up, patting Sam on the shoulder and making him blush.
Cordelia and Faith
"Possibly," Cordelia said, catching Dean's eye. "I mean, I know your measurements, Faith, but uh... you have... sorta filled out a little more in the chest area."
She looked at her bag.
"I have the basic outline of the gown. No beading or anything on it yet."
Faith glanced down.
Dean & Sam
"What about lingerie?"
"Dean!" Sam scorned, "you're not half obvious at all, are you?"
"What? It's a legit question!"
Cordelia and Faith
"Actually..." Cordelia grinned.
"You're so weird," Faith replied.
Dean & Sam
Dean rubbed his hands together like a gleeful five year old. Sam threw a pen at him.
"So I take it everything's going according to plan for the wedding so far?" Sam asked.
Cordelia and Faith
"Actually, yes," Cordelia said, pausing from her rifling through the bag. "Tru is surprisingly easy to work with."
"Surprisingly?" Faith asked.
"She's your daughter," Cordelia pointed out. "I thought she'd be a little more argumentative."
Dean
"Nah, Tru got 'nice girl' genes for some reason. One of those great medical mysteries," Dean mused.
Faith and Cordelia
"Hey!" Faith said, punching Dean's arm none too lightly. "I'm nice."
Cordelia snickered.
Dean
"OW!" Dean grabbed his shoulder, "that's nice?!"
Faith
"I could've hit you in the crotch," Faith pointed out.
She smiled sweetly.
Dean
Dean considered that a moment.
"Very true," he nodded, shaking his arm out.
Faith and Cordelia
"I'm a giver," Faith said.
Cordelia cleared her throat.
"While we're on that note, will you give a bit more of your time so I can call a teleporter to bring over your gown and undergarments?"
Faith made a face.
Dean
"Yes she will," Dean answered for her, "gladly."
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia grinned and pulled her phone out. She tapped in a quick message and then went outside to wait.
"I will, will I?" Faith asked, looking at Dean. "Why are you so eager to see me in a dress?"
Dean
"Because it makes you uncomfortable," Dean shrugged.
"Plus, didn't you hear? Undergarments. Hey? Hey?"
Faith and Cordelia
"You think I'm going to let you see me in lingerie?" Faith asked. "Guess again, honey."
Cordelia entered the room a second later, holding two bags of clothing.
"No way..."
Sam & Dean
Sam's eyebrows rose.
"Oh God yes," Dean looked to the ceiling as if to say 'thankyou'.
Faith
Faith turned big pleading eyes on Sam.
"Sammich? Make the bad man stop."
Sam
"You're a big girl Faith, and you bring this on yourself," Sam shrugged.
Faith and Cordelia
"You're mean," Faith said to Sam, taking the bag from a triumphant Cordelia. She walked into the bathroom. "No sex ever again."
Cordelia snickered. "That won't last."
Sam
"I know," Sam winked.
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia grinned.
"Cordy!" came the angry cry from the bathroom.
"I don't think she likes when I pick out underwear for her..." Cordelia mused.
Dean
"Want some help?!" Dean called in offering.
Faith and Cordelia
Faith threw the door to the bathroom opened, standing there in her underwear, which was all white and lacey, bridal looking, much to Cordelia's amusement.
"This, is not funny," Faith said to Cordelia.
Cordelia laughed. "I thought you needed a change."
Dean
"Wow, I never thought I'd be able to picture Faith as a virgin," Dean said.
He paused.
"Nope, still can't."
Faith and Cordelia
"This," Faith said, indicating the lingerie. "Is not amusing."
"It is, a little," Cordelia said. "Put the dress on."
Faith actually growled, before turning and fetching the dress from the bathroom.
"God, Faith! Close the door!"
Dean & Sam
"No, don't!" Dean insisted.
"Seriously?" Sam looked at Cordy, unsure.
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia grinned. "Gunn and I had bets on how she would react. He now owes me quite a bit of money."
Faith was making annoyed noises from the bathroom as she put the dress on.
Sam & Dean
Sam sighed, also starting to look annoyed.
"Want me to get you some proof?" Dean offered Cordy, digging in his bag before holding up his video camera.
Cordelia and Faith
"Ah, no," Cordelia shook her head after thinking. "She's not above killing me."
"You got that right," Faith said, coming out of the bathroom in the dress.
"Alright, measure away. Be quick."
Dean & Sam
"Then how are you gonna prove you won the bet?" Dean shrugged.
"Wow," Sam said under his breath upon sight of her.
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia just shrugged and went to fix the gown on Faith's body.
"I think I misjudged the bodice," she mused, leaning over to pin it tighter.
Faith just stood there silently, letting Cordelia do what she had to do.
"Tru picked a good colour scheme," Cordelia noted. "All three of you will look really good in this pale green colour."
"Mmmhmm," Faith hummed, barely paying attention.
Dean& Sam
"Who has their Mom as a bridesmaid anyway?" Dean said.
"Someone who respects theirs?" Sam suggested.
"...Touche."
Faith and Cordelia
"In general, we have to say we're sisters," Faith shrugged. "The age thing gets hard to explain. Hey! Watch it with the pins."
"Sorry," Cordelia murmured.
Dean & Sam
"Mmm..." a dreamy look crossed Dean's face.
"What?" Sam asked suspiciously.
"I can imagine doing them all at once..."
Faith and Cordelia
"You better not be talking about my daughter," Faith warned.
Cordelia snickered.
Dean
"Oh you already know I'd do her," Dean didn't lose the look.
Cordelia and Faith
"Won't you do anyone really?" Cordelia interjected, fixing the last pin into the dress.
Faith watched Cordy's hands carefully, not wanting to get jabbed again.
Sam & Dean
"Believe it or not, he does have some standards," Sam mused.
Dean raised an eyebrow at him.
"Waitresses."
Dean hesitated.
"Ok. Tampa screwed with my logic. But I'd still do other waitresses."
Cordelia and Faith
"I was the worst waitress ever," Cordelia mused, thinking for a second.
"I was the best... well, I wasn't a waitress. I was a bar wench," Faith put in.
Dean
"I doubt you could have been the worst," Dean looked up at Cordelia.
Cordelia and Faith
"Oh no, I was terrible," Cordelia told him.
She finished pinning Faith's dress to the correct measurements.
"I kinda... grew up a little spoiled."
"They didn't call you Queen C for nothing," Faith commented.
Dean
"So?" Dean shrugged, "rich chicks usually have great bedroom technique."
Cordelia and Faith
"And on that note," Cordelia said, glancing up at Faith. "That's about done."
Faith nodded and went back to get changed.
Dean & Sam
"What'd I say?" Dean tried to look innocent.
"One of us should probably go get food at some point," Sam attempted to distract him.
"I agree," Dean clapped his hands and rubbed his stomache, "and I think it should be you."
"If I'm the one going for food at 2am, you should go during the day," Sam reasoned.
"Whatever."
Cordelia and Faith
"You're making 2am food runs?" Cordelia asked Sam. She smirked. "So whipped."
She started packing the sewing equipment away.
Faith re-emerged from the bathroom, carrying the bags with the dress and lingerie in it. "Here."
"Thanks."
Faith glanced over at Dean. "I agree that you should do the daytime food run."
Sam & Dean
"Yeah," Sam admitted sheepishly to Cordelia.
"Fine," Dean rolled his eyes, getting up, "but I'm only going to the pizza place over the road, so, orders?"
"I'll have the 5 meat one with the lot," Sam smiled triumphantly.
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia laughed quietly. "Man up, Sam."
Faith rubbed her neck while thinking.
"Eh, get me whatever you're having Dean."
Dean & Sam
"Sure," Dean nodded, shrugging his jecket on and pulling out a wad of cash.
"See you later..." Dean paused to think of Cordelia's name, then smiled and left.
Cordelia and Faith
"I think that's my cue," Cordelia said, picking her stuff up.
"Hey," Faith said, glancing over. "Tell Angel hi."
"Will do," Cordelia replied. "See ya."
She opened the motel door and left, before getting her phone out to call a teleporter.
Faith sat down on the bed.
"So... 5 minutes alone."
Sam
Sam raised his eyebrows.
"If that," he reasoned, "Dean will probably be back any second complaining they're taking too long."
Faith
Faith leaned back against the bedhead.
"You know, if you want photos of me in dresses," she began, closing her eyes. "You can just ask me to put one on."
Sam
Sam's eyebrows rose.
"Are you serious?" he asked, "but you hate dresses."
Faith
"I do hate dresses," Faith agreed, then snuck a quick look at him.
"But I like you. And if you want something - within reason, I will try and give it to you."
Sam
"That's ok," Sam grinned, rubbing her leg wth his hand.
"I'm not comfortable with it if you're not. I just think you look nice done up. And it's cool that it's a rare occassion. Makes it more special."
Faith
"Oh God," Faith groaned teasingly.
"You're going to cry at Tru's wedding, aren't you?"
Sam
Sam chuckled.
"Don't worry, I'm not the cry-at-weddings kind," he mused, opening his own food.
Faith
"Good," Faith said, grinning.
"Coz I'm not going to be the one dealing with a teary and snotty Sam."
