The nanny screamed and ran out of the nursary.
Mrs Kennedy looked up from her magazine and watched, somewhat perturbed, as the nanny ran down the stairs, bags in hand.
"Caroline, whatever is the matter?"
Caroline shook her head.
"I'll have none of it ma'am," she insisted. "Your... your daughter... she's a mutant, and a nasty one at that. You... you can't pay me enough, ma'am."
Continuing to shake her head (her arms and legs shaking of their own accord), Caroline backed away and finally fled the house. Mrs Kennedy shook her head, reluctantly put down her magazine and headed upstairs. She had almost reached the nursary door when it blew apart.
Mrs Kennedy stopped briefly from shock then raced inside.
"Risa! Risa!"
Risa's face lit up as her mother entered the room.
"Mommy!" she greeted happily.
"Oh, Risa, are you all right?" Mrs Kennedy asked, scooping up her daughter.
She surveyed the room as Risa hugged her. It looked like a bomb hit it. Only one of the walls was still in tact and none of the furniture was in one piece although somehow all her toys had managed to escape... whatever caused this mess.
