Run and Catch

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Drusilla and Faith

Drusilla seemed to glide when she walked, feet barely skimming the ground as she followed Faith and the Winchester brothers into the darkened house.

"Run and catch, run and catch, the lamb is caught in the blackberry patch," Drusilla sang sweetly into the shadows.

The vampire swiftly caught the stake that had gone flying her way and she scowled as Faith stepped into the faint lights from the street.

"Nasty Slayer," Drusilla hissed. "She made them dizzy with love, but now she's gone. Into the ground. But you, you touched my precious Angel and my Spike and filled them with your lies and your deception. You took them from me, so I'm going to take something from you."

"You must be Drusilla," Faith answered dryly. "I've heard about you."

Drusilla scowled at her. "You can have the naughty, bad one. The one who sees what I see. He's tainted, dirty. But the other... he reminds me of my William, back when he was what he was."

"See, thing is, you can't have either," Faith told her. "The boys are kinda tied up doing their thing - wow, good image - so you get to play with me, Dru."

"Psst psst, naughty Faith has been so bad and she won't get any cake," Drusilla whispered. "I've killed one of your kind already."

"And I've killed millions of yours, so the odds are in my favour, aren't they?"

"Sssshhhh." Drusilla smiled a secretive smile, bringing a finger up to her lips. "Sssshhh. Look at me, dearie. Be... in my eyes. Be in me..."

Faith's eyes glazed over slightly as Drusilla lifted a hand to her throat.

Sam

Sam appeared in the doorway at that moment.

"HEY!" he yelled, rushing over with his machete ready.

"Get away from her!"

Drusilla and Faith

Drusilla hissed, turning her attention to Sam as Faith seemed to snap out of whatever trance she had been in.

"You," she spat. "You're the naughty one. I have no time for you with your shadows whispering, nasty secrets over the walls and into the sky."

Sam & Dean

Sam scowled and used his telekinesis to throw her into a nearby wall, moments before Dean appeared through the same doorway.

"What the hell's going on?" he demanded.

Drusilla and Faith

Drusilla stood slowly, her eyes lighting up when she caught sight of Dean.

"You," she breathed, a slight smile spreading across her lips. "My sunshine boy, so much like William."

Faith stepped in front of Dean, smiling charmingly at Drusilla. "Sorry, Dru, but these ones? They're mine."

Drusilla hissed. "You're a bad girl, all deceitful and cunning. Nothing but a whore."

"Yeah yeah, I've heard that before..."

Dean & Sam

Dean raised an eyebrow at Sam.

"Am I, or am I not, about to have girls fight over me?"

Sam snorted his scorn, "girls Dean?"

"Close enough. Either way, cat fight!"

Drusilla and Faith

"Step out of the way and I'll let you live," Drusilla told Faith.

"Nah," Faith dismissed, standing her ground. "Let's play it this way instead."

She snapped a kick into Drusilla's stomach, sending the vampire flying back several metres.

Drusilla got to her feet, face shifting into vampire features.

"Dirty Slayer," she hissed, dodging Faith's next blow. "I've killed one before."

"Yeah," Faith said, ducking. "Thanks by the way. I wouldn't've been called if you hadn't."

"I'm taking my sunshine," Drusilla almost sang. "And we'll be a family."

"Nah."

Sam & Dean

Sam looked on worriedly as Dean got out his camera and started filming.

"She's a vampire," Sam realised verbally, readying his machete again in case Faith needed help.

"Dude, get out of the way!"

Faith and Drusilla

"Go!" Faith called to Sam, eyes never leaving Drusilla. "I'll catch up."

Drusilla narrowed her eyes at Faith. "No, the sunshine stays here."

"Take Dean and go," she said.

Drusilla and Faith

"Naughty Slayer!" Drusilla spat out.

"I get that a lot," Faith told her. "Come on. Let's play."

"Not with you," Drusilla replied. "I'll make the sunshine boy mine, and we'll be a family. Family is what he craves under it all."

Dean & Sam

"Hell no!"

"Dean come on," Sam grabbed him by the back of his jacket.

"Dude! You're ruining it!"

Dean continued protesting as Sam pulled him in the direction of the car.

Dean & Sam

"Why do you always have to dowhat she tells you? What happened to me being the oldest and knowing what's best?" Dean scorned as he packed stuff into the trunk.

"She obviously knows this vampire. I'm not going to stand in her way of whatever revenge she needs to vent. And you shouldn't either," Sam insisted.

"Whatever. You know, we still haven't finished what we came to do anyway."

Drusilla and Faith

"Sssh sssh," Drusilla whispered, slinking closer to Faith. "I'm naming all the stars..."

Faith's hand shot out and grabbed Drusilla's hand, ripping the ring off her finger.

"Nasty Slayer!" Drusilla hissed, pushing Faith away forcefully and disappearing into the night.

Faith looked down at the ring in her hand before sighing and heading out to catch up with the boys.

Dean & Sam

Dean was leaning lazily against the car while Sam stood with his arms folded in front of him. Hearing her footsteps, they both looked up.

"Who was that?" Sam asked her.

"Emphasis on was," Dean's brows rose.

Faith

"Not so much with the was, yet," Faith said to Dean. "Did get her little trinket, so she's easier to kill now."

She held the ring up to study it for a second.

"That was Drusilla. Spike's ex? Apparently... well apparently she wants you, Dean."

Sam & Dean

"I think he meant she being a vampire and already dead," Sam corrected.

"Wants me for what?" Dean asked, unphased.

Faith

"Eternity," Faith said, shrugging.

"You remind her of Spike. Or at least, that's what I picked up from the crazies she was rambling."

Dean & Sam

"Right... well did you mention I don't do the necrophilia thing? I'm not Sam."

Sam gave his brother a quick hiss, followed by a stern glare.

"I can see the resemblance," Sam offered.

Faith

"You did a vampire?" Faith asked Sam.

She shook her head slightly.

"Yeah, and uh, she's not a fan of you and me, kiddo."

Sam

"Afraid so. And I'm afraid Dean's getting grumpy, so we'll have to continue this clothing discussion another time. Love you, stupid."

Faith

Faith glanced at Dean before turning her attention to Sam.

"A demon? Did you know it was a - "

She fell silent, figuring it out.

"Oh."

Sam & Dean

"It didn't mean anything," Sam insisted.

"Demons coerce, it's what they do," Dean's arms folded.

"Not all of them," Sam scorned, "I was just... beat up about Dean's death. That's all. And she helped me."

Faith

"Not my concern," Faith shrugged. "It was before we started this thing, so, whatever."

Her tone was casual, but still, she turned away from Sam and focused on Dean.

"So, what do you want to do about this? I mean, obviously she's not going to give up on you. I gotta hand it to her, crazy or not, she has dedication."

Dean

Dean looked between them.

"So she's not your charge? She's a vampire," he frowned.

Faith

"Well, she has the whole magic thing working for her, so I might need Red's help on this one. Or Spike's. Or maybe even Angel's. He's her Sire, after all. And she will back down if he tells her."

Faith paused.

"So, I guess I have to convince him to tell her."

Dean & Sam

"That doesn't sound hard. Oh, wait..."

"Angel," Sam couldn't hide his amusement.

"Yeah, him. Not my best friend in the world."

Faith

"Yeah, you can thank him for why she's batshit crazy too," Faith said, reaching into her pocket to get her phone.

"Drove her insane before he killed her."

Dean & Sam

"He so planned this," Dean looked at Sam.

Sam just chuckled.

Faith

"Well, she does have a certain type of guy," Faith mused.

She grinned faintly.

Dean

"What? Manly?" Dean teased his brother.

Faith

"No, annoying."

Faith smirked slightly.

"But then, you probably enjoy that about Spike."

Dean & Sam

Dean hesitated, then shrugged.

"Yeah."

"So now what?" Sam asked.

Faith

"I'll talk to Angel, get him to reign in his Childe," Faith said, still not looking at Sam.

"And in the meantime, I'll play interference between Dean and her."

Sam & Dean

"Ok," Sam nodded.

"Now that that's sorted, let's finish the job here. Ok?" Dean insisted.

Sam threw him the machete and began walking back into the building.
