When the Time Comes

"Hey Julie," Annika said sotfly as they approached the bed.

Julie's face lit up.

"Hey," she smiled.

"Zac told me the good news, and of course, I had to pass it on."

Julie chuckled.

"Congratulations," Binar said.

"Why, thank you Binar."

"And where are the little darlings?" Corinne asked.

"Being checked over," Julie replied. "They were a little on the small side."

"Aww."

"Well have to walk past on the way and peer at them," Annika joked.

Corinne and Julie giggled.

"So, Zac said two boys and two girls?" Annika asked.

"Yeah," Julie nodded.

"Nice and even that."

As they spoke, Corinnes' eyes fell on a couple of presents for the babies that had been left by another visitor. Abruptly a series of scences flashed before her. The first concerned her deeply as she sensed these depicted the most probable future, and they were not at all pleasant. However, intermingled she should see an alternate future that was far more stable. Corinne took hold then, as only an experienced premonitionist knew how and followed the scenes in, trying to locate the pivotol moment.

She fell deeper into the trance, the scenes becoming less horrific for the one set and more chaotic for the other as she moved closer and close to the present time. At last when she knew she had been in this trance for far longer than normal she found that crucial moment in the life of the quadruplets.

"I don't know about this," Julie said, anxiously looking down at the baby in her arms.

"Well, it's not too late to back out," Saku replied. "But to be honest, Julie, I think you'll be doing both yourself and the quads a disservice if you kept them."

Corinne breathed deeply and opened her eyes.

"Rin?" Cliff asked. "Oh good, you are still with us. I was starting to get worried."

Corinne smiled at him faintly, then looked at Julie. For a moment she warred about saying anything in case she had the opposite effect, but knew as she had known for the start that she needed to.

"Julie?"

"Yeah?"

"Sometime this year... probably in the next couple of months Saku's going to give you some good advice. It might not feel that way at the time, but trust me when I say you want to take it."
