Faith looked up as someone knocked on the door. "Yeah?"
Seconds later, a nervous looking Liam stepped into the room, half closing the door behind him. "Hey."
"Don't tell me there's a fire in the kitchen," Faith grinned, closing the lid of her laptop.
"No - well, not yet anyway," Liam replied, smiling slightly. "There was something I needed to ask you though."
"I'm all ears."
Liam was quiet, pacing in front of the window, and just as Faith was about to tell him to man up and say something, he finally spoke.
"I wanted to ask your permission to marry Tru," he blurted.
Faith's eyebrows rose and she stared at him for a second.
He fidgeted nervously, waiting for an answer. "I know it's sudden..."
"Actually," Faith said, with a grin. "It's long overdue. Of course you have my permission."
Liam breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you."
"You're very welcome."
