Avery laughed as she looked over at her best friend.
"What?" Lo asked, moving her attention away from the wall they were painting.
"This is messier than I'd anticipated," Avery said, laughing.
Lo chuckled. "Same."
The two girls set their paintbrushes down, admiring their handiwork.
The main wall in Avery's apartment was now a feature wall, painted a pale lime green.
"I want to do this in my room," Lo commented. "Maybe with a dark red or something."
"Next weekend?" Avery suggested.
"Yeah," Lo replied. "If I have gotten the paint out of my hair by then."
