Elata stared, wide-eyed.
"Aliens?" she queried in a hoarse whisper.
Mia nodded.
"Uh huh."
"They're real?"
"Yep."
"Really real?"
"Yes, Elata. There are really aliens."
"Eeeeeee!" Elata squealed.
Roberto and Henry looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Mia grinned.
"Zac was so right about you," she said.
"Sososososo..." Elata asked excitedly. "Who do we know that's an alien?"
"Well, the Hansons are Dathrian, Friday's half human, half Dath -"
"Eeep!"
"Binar, Cliff, Corinne and Ivan are all Daths and I think Hunter is hald Dath, half Sem."
"What about Julie?" Roberto asked.
"Human."
"This is so awesome!" Elata bubbled. "We've been friends with aliens for years and we didn't even know it! Dang it, it's not fair. Why couldn't I have been born an alien?"
Henry sighed.
"For the same reason you weren't born a mutant," Mia nodded.
