Tru practically ran down the steps and launched herself at Faith as soon as her mother was out of the car.
"Whoa!" Faith laughed, wrapping her arms around Tru. "Hey."
"Hey," Tru replied, voice slightly muffled as she buried her face in Faith's shoulder.
The two disentangled, and Tru looked up to greet the others.
"Hey," the younger girl greeted, smiling.
Sam & Dean
"Hey!" Sam greeted with a smile as he got out the car.
"Tru," Dean nodded, walking around the hood, "how are you?"
Tru and Faith
"Good," Tru replied with a grin. She reached over and hugged Sam. "Although my brain is tired."
Faith smiled and ran a hand through her hair. "Poor Tru."
"Poor me indeed."
Sam & Dean
"Yeah, that's what happens around these parts," Sam hugge back before letting her go.
"How is the place?" Dean asked, looking up at it.
Tru and Faith
"Really great," Tru replied. "I feel like spoiled or something."
"Eh, Angel has a soft spot for us," Faith said, waving her hand. "The cooking getting any better?"
"Well," Tru said, grinning. "No fires, yet. So... I'm taking that as progress."
Dean & Sam
"Who needs to cook when a fang gives you five star accomodation?" Dean muttered under his breath.
"Do you just not have time? Or is it for lack of tutoring?" Sam asked Tru, ignoring him.
Tru and Faith
"It's a little of both," Tru said. "I mean, Mom and Dad have both tried to teach me at various times, but I'm not the domestic type."
"Yeah, because I scream Suzie Homemaker," Faith said sarcastically.
Tru grinned. "You're actually quite good, Mom. Besides, Liam and I managed to make bad pasta. Who stuffs up pasta?"
Sam
"Maybe I could send you some beginner cookbooks as a belated housewarming present," Sam said thoughtfully.
"Would they help?"
Tru
Tru grinned.
"Um... possibly. Although, maybe we're just not destined to be cooks."
She unlocked her apartment door.
Sam & Dean
"I guess it wouldn't hurt then, huh?" Sam smiled.
"So welcome to the palace," Dean smirked, looking up at the apartments.
Faith and Tru
"No way," Faith said as Tru led them into the actual place.
"What?" Tru looked over at her mother.
"I thought that burned down in the fire a few years ago," Faith replied, eyes fixated on a painting of a elf playing the flute.
Dean & Sam
Dean raised an eyebrow, turning to Sam. Sam shrugged and Dean just kept walking.
"Nice paint job," he said, looking around.
Tru and Faith
"Yeah, I designed it, but Angel hired the people for me to do it," Tru said, shrugging. "We didn't have enough time to do it ourselves before we moved in."
"Nice," Faith said, slipping an arm around her daughter's shoulders. "It's very Tru, actually."
Tru grinned. "Yeah. Liam says that."
Sam & Dean
"I take it he doesn't mind the decorating," Sam guessed, looking around as he walked into the kitchen area.
"That or he didn't get a choice," Dean mused.
Faith and Tru
"Guys never really get a choice," Faith mused, glancing around. "All you have to do is pout and bend over a lot."
Tru snorted. "Ah, parenting advice. Thanks Mom."
Dean & Sam
"Works for me," Dean shrugged.
Sam smirked a little as he opened the oven, seeing charcoal coating part of the inside.
Tru and Faith
"I'm just reminding you that there have been no fires as yet," Tru said to Sam.
Faith grinned. "Yet."
Sam & Dean
Sam looked up to make sure she had a good smoke alarm, some hair falling in his face as he did so.
"As long as you don't burn the place down this soon after you've gotten it," he teased.
"She'd have to be a really bad cook," Dean's eyebrows rose.
"Oh no, you hear about stoves and dishwashers causing fires all the time these days," Sam reasoned.
Tru and Faith
"Ha ha," Tru said sarcastically to Sam.
Faith slipped her hand into Sam's as they looked around the place.
"I'm impressed by your cleaning," she said.
Tru smiled sheepishly. "Well... Angel actually hired us a maid. But she's only in once a week."
"You're kidding."
"Um... no."
Sam & Dean
"I was serious," Sam looked taken aback.
"She doesn't care," Dean smirked, "is the maid hot? Or is she an overweight African immigrant?"
Tru and Faith
"She's... I don't look at girls that way!" Tru said, wrinkling her nose up.
Faith grinned. "That's surprising, considering who your parents are."
"Ugh, I don't want to know."
Dean & Sam
"Tru as a lesbian, now that I'd like to see. Give me a call if you ever feel incestuous," Dean gave her a wink.
"Dean, that's disgusting," Sam scorned as he sat at the kitchen table.
Faith and Tru
Faith slapped Dean over the back of the head, while Tru looked like she was going to throw up.
"Ok, did you guys want something to drink?" Tru asked.
"Let me guess... you have a shopper?"
"No... just the one time."
Dean & Sam
"Got any beer?" Dean asked.
"Soda's fine," Sam nodded.
Tru and Faith
"Yes, to both," Tru said, opening the fridge.
She grabbed a beer and opened it, before handing it to Dean. She then returned her attention to the fridge.
Faith sat down next to Sam, resting a hand on his knee.
Dean & Sam
"You're driving back," Dean pointed to Sam as he took a swig.
"Fine," Sam shrugged, his left hand slipping over Faith's.
Tru and Faith
"You guys working a job, or is this just to see me?" Tru asked her mother.
"Well, I'm here to see you, I don't know about these two," Faith replied.
"You guys can all stay here, if you want," Tru shrugged. "We have two spare rooms."
Dean & Sam
"Awesome," Dean nodded.
"No job," Sam shook his head, "at the moment, anyway."
"And besides, Sam needs to check out this Neil guy."
Sam frowned.
"It's Liam. And I don't need to."
Tru and Faith
"Why would Sam need to...?" Tru looked confused.
Faith smirked. "Nevermind honey."
"Alright... well, Mom...?"
"Mmm? Oh wait, you have that look in your eyes. I have to cook, don't I?"
Tru just smiled sweetly. "I'm your daughter, Mom. Your own flesh and blood."
Dean & Sam
"Can you even cook?" Dean raised an eyebrow.
"I can always tak the car down and get something," Sam offered.
Faith and Tru
"Yeah," Faith assured Dean. "I can."
"Do you guys not cook?" Tru asked.
Faith shook her head. "Usually too tired. Or lazy."
Sam & Dean
"I'm limited in my abilities," Sam admitted.
"And I just dont have to," Dean shrugged.
Faith and Tru
"Ok," Faith said, standing up. She went over to the fridge to peer inside.
"It's fully stocked," Tru told her. "Not that it really helps when Liam and I can't cook. But you can probably do something."
Faith nodded. "Yeah, I can come up with something."
