From The Inside Out

Willow and Faith

"Oh thank God," Willow breathed as soon as Faith had picked up the phone.

"What's up?" Faith asked softly, careful not to disrupt Sam as she climbed off the bed. She slipped into one of his shirts, tiptoeing into the bathroom to talk.

"I've been doing some research," Willow went on. "With Giles and Angel. And I've contacted the coven in Devon."

"That sounds fascinating, Willow," Faith said, yawning. She closed the door behind her and closed the toilet lid, perching on the end. "Is there a point?"

"There's a very big point!" The Wiccan's voice was getting more high pitched by the second.

"Whoa, chill."

"Faith, you need to find a way to destroy that baby," Willow told her.

"Hey, it hasn't been for lack of trying," Faith answered. "Sam and Dean have looked into it, not to mention the attempts - "

"Faith!" Willow interrupted, sounding more than hysterical now. "It's more serious than you seem to realise!"

"End of the world, yeah, I know," Faith said. "It's not really out of the blue for me though."

"You're..." Willow took a deep breath. "You're a host for a demon."

"Yep. Hearing you loud and clear there."

"It will... Faith, it's feeding off you. Your life force. Your energy," Willow continued.

Faith was quiet for a moment. "Alright."

"That's it? That's all you're going to say?" Willow was getting hysterical again. "Remember the last time a demon used someone as a host? Fred died! Her soul was destroyed! And you're all blase about it?!"

There was a long silence.

"Faith, please," Willow said, taking another deep breath. "Please take this seriously... it will burn you from the inside out."
