Somewhere Dark & Lonely

Written by AiMsTeR and Nessa

Sam

Sam's head shot up and he groaned, a splitting headache instantly taking hold.

He moved to put his hand to his forehead, but soon found he couldn't move his arm more than a few inches.

Eyes opening wider instantly, he soon saw the chains.

Angel

Angel blinked a few times, his vampiric senses already well adjusted to the dark.

He felt the chains around his ankles and wrists and he sighed.

Sam

Sam's head snapped in Angel's direction, not quite able to see.

"Hello?" he asked, not at all nervously.

Angel

Angel sniffed slightly.

"Sam?"

Sam

"Yeah, Angel," Sam was a little relieved.

"What can you see?"

Angel

"Uh..." Angel scanned the room.

"I think..."

He scented the air.

"Dean's here too. He's out, over in the corner. Alive though. Heartbeat is steady."

Sam

Sam breathed evenly, knowing that Dean could wake at any moment and he couldn't use his telekinesis just in case.

"I don't know about you, but I have one hell of a headache," he groaned, closing his eyes.

Angel

"Yeah," Angel said, leaning back against the wall.

"I'm not exactly that comfor..."

He stopped short, thinking for a moment.

"Faith's not here."

Sam

"She's ok," Sam replied almost instantly.

He frowned a little, wondering only for a second how he knew.

"But she's in danger."

Angel

Angel tilted his head for a second, closing his eyes to feel the connection he had.

"Yeah... she's alright for now."

Dean & Sam

A loud groan was suddenly heard from Dean's corner as the older Winchester returned to the world of the conscious.

"Man. Hope someone got the plates of the thing that ran over me last night..."

Sam gulped slightly.

Angel

"Afraid not," Angel said, glancing in Dean's direction.

Dean

"Angel?" Dean frowned.

"Damnit..."

Angel

"And your brother," Angel commented.

"But not Faith."

Dean & Sam

The chains rattled in the dark.

"Great. So. Faith's idea of fun."

"It wasn't Faith," Sam insisted.

Angel

"I don't know what you guys get up to on the road, but I doubt she'd involve me in it," Angel said, shaking his head.

"I hope she's alright though."

Sam

"She is," Sam insisted.

Angel

"Well, that's one thing less to worry about."

Angel leaned back against the wall again.

"Anyone have a plan?"

Dean

"Getting off the wall would be a start," Dean pointed out.

"What are you guys in? I've got arm shackles about two inches thick."

Angel

Angel pulled lightly at them, gauging their strength.

"Something a lot thicker," he grunted, pulling again.

Sam

"Yeah, same," Sam pulled on his shoulders.

"It feels like I'm weighed down."

Angel

"Yeah, I think getting out of this might take awhile."

Angel pulled again.

Sam & Dean

Sam debated again using his abilities, wondering just how long Dean would take to fall asleep again.

"You think?" Dean snided.

Angel

"How about you let me drain you dry so I'll have more strength," Angel sniped back.

Dean & Sam

"Go for your life, fang. Oh, wait..."

"Dean," Sam said condescendingly.

"He started it."

Angel

Angel muttered to himself, something about snapping Dean's neck when he had the chance, before falling back into silence.

Sam & Dean

Sam huffed to himself before leaning his head back.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" Dean provoked, "you know fangs make you lisp, right? Maybe you should look into that."

Angel

Angel silently counted to ten, and made a promise to himself that he wouldn't try to kill Dean as soon as they were out of their chains.

Well, he probably wouldn't.

Sam & Dean

"Dean, shut up," Sam muttered.

"Why? This is going to be a very boring stay if we don't keep ourselves entertained."

Angel

Angel ignored Dean, and turned his head in the direction of Sam.

"What's the last thing you remember?"

Dean & Sam

"This blonde chick came down on me and just..."

"Dean," Sam stopped him, "he was talking to me."

"Oh. Of course. Seeing as you two are BFFs and all..."

"The last thing I remember was falling asleep beside Faith in our motel room. She might have gone patrolling or something, I don't know."

Angel

"Hmmm," Angel said, thinking for a moment.

"She might've. I can't see why they would leave her and take the three of us."

Sam & Dean

"It's all I could rationally think of," Sam shrugged.

"Or maybe she just kicked their asses and they only got away with you," Dean suggested.

"Then she would have followed, surely," Sam frowned.

Angel

"She's alright," Angel nodded. "So, my guess is she wasn't present at all."

He thought for a moment.

"I'm hoping she's worked out what's going on."

Sam

"You and me both, or we could be here a while," Sam sighed.
