Ty teleported in a crouched position. He left Kim's body sprawled across the front stoop of Faith, Sam and Dean's motel room, then disappeared again.
~*~*~*~
Faith checked the clock on the bedside table.
"Alright, I'll go get dinner. I assume, pie for you Dean? Sam?"
Dean & Sam
"Steak burger with the lot," Dean corrected, "pie just won't do it tonight. I'm starving."
Sam raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"I'll have one of those chilli dogs they've got and some fries to go with. Thanks."
Faith
Faith crossed the room to Sam and leaned in for a kiss.
"If you weren't do cute, I'd tell you to get your own food," she told him, grinning. She kissed him again.
She straightened up, and went over to the door, grabbing her wallet from the dresser. She opened the door, about to say something else to Sam when her foot caught on something.
With Slayer reflexes, she managed to catch her balance at the last time, but as she looked down at what had caused her to trip, she let out a cry of shock.
Dean & Sam
By the time Dean had jumped to his feet - his bed close to the door - Sam was at Faith's side.
I took him a moment to process the sight, before he pulled Faith back into the room.
"Dean?!"
Dean scowled as he caught sight of the body, but quickly looked around to make sure no one had seen it. Before anyone took notice of Faith's cry though, he dragged it back into the room and shut the door.
Faith
Faith's eyes widened as she recognised the body.
"Um... oh my God."
Sam & Dean
"I know," Sam held her in his arms.
"Do we know this guy?" Dean stepped over him, glad the blood on his forehead was almost dry.
"Yeah, we do," Sam nodded.
Faith
Faith looked away, letting Sam support her weight.
"I don't... what do we do with him?"
Dean & Sam
"Leave him," Dean shrugged.
"Dean," Sam scorned.
"What?" Dean shrugged, "we can't take him with us too far."
"Are you in contact with his family?" Sam asked Faith.
Faith
"He doesn't have any," Faith said softly.
She took a step towards him.
"But I can't... I can't just leave him, I'm sorry."
Dean & Sam
"Then what?" Dean frowned.
"Maybe we could just drive him out of town a bit, give him a proper funeral," Sam suggested.
Faith
"Yeah," Faith nodded, rubbing her temples.
"I'm sorry, I just can't... it doesn't seem right. And he would've done the same for me."
Sam & Dean
"Ok," Sam rubbed her back.
Dean nodded, then made is way out to the impala to fetch a rug to roll the body in.
Sam looked down at it, frowning at his obvious injury.
Faith
Faith bent down to kneel beside Kim. She ran a hand over his eyes, closing them gently.
"Someone obviously knew that Kim and I had a history," she said, half to herself, half to Sam. "Why else leave him with us?"
Sam
"And it's someone who knows where we are," Sam added, "so we need to hit the road as soon as possible."
Faith
"Yeah," Faith said slowly, pulling her hand back from Kim.
"I'd rather get this over with."
Dean & Sam
Dean soon reappeared and rolled the rug out onto the floor. With Sam's help he got Kim's body onto it, and carefully rolled it so no appendages were sticking out.
That done, they carried him out to the impala trunk.
"We need to hit the road," Sam insisted.
"I gathered," Dean looked scornfully on the woolen heap, "let's pack and go."
Faith
Faith was throwing her clothes into her bag quickly, hands shaking slightly.
She only just managed to zip it without catching her skin and she looked to Sam.
Sam & Dean
Sam had stopped to stare at her for a moment.
"I'm sorry," he said softly, before Dean pushed past and hurriedly packed his things.
Faith
Faith nodded, taking her bag and going out to the impala. She hesitated, knowing what was in the trunk.
Dean & Sam
Dean stepped up and dumped his bags in the trunk, followed by Sam who was a little more careful.
"I'll take the key up," Sam insisted as Dean went to the driver door.
"Be careful," Dean insisted as Sam walked off.
Faith
Faith slid into the passenger seat beside Dean, not saying a word.
Dean & Sam
Dean picked Sam up at the front gate and they hit the highway to had out of town.
"How far?" Dean asked.
"I'd say at least twenty miles," Sam insisted.
Faith
Faith leaned into Sam as soon as he was next to her, letting her head rest in the crook of his neck.
"Do you think this was aimed at me?"
Sam & Dean
"I think it was aimed at us," Sam reasoned, his fingers running through her hair.
"Who would have known where we were?" Dean was still in business mode.
"No one," Sam shook his head, "or rather, probably only one person."
"Figures," Dean mumbled.
Faith
Faith remained with her face in the crook of Sam's neck.
"He shouldn't've been involved," she said quietly. "He had no part of this at all. It had been months since I spoke to him, or saw him."
Sam
"Whoever's behind it has obviously been following us for a very long time," Sam pointed out.
Faith
Faith nodded slowly.
"He has no family. No one to mourn for him," she said quietly. "It doesn't seem right, somehow."
Sam & Dean
"You will," Sam reassured.
"And besides, it's kind've on par for our lifestyle," Dean pointed out.
Faith
"Not for him though," Faith replied quietly. "He was a personal trainer. He only fought vampires with me, basically."
She shook her head.
Dean
"Still. He chose to live a solitary life," Dean pointed out.
Faith
Faith didn't answer, just focused on watching the road pass out the window.
She reached for Sam's hand.
Sam
Sam took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze, hoping their makeshift funeral would be worthy enough for her.
