Kate thanked her brother, who just shot her a half tired, half amused look as he teleported out again. She produced her key from her bag and opened the door to the house.
"Zac?" she called out, unsure if he was home or not.
Zac
Zac was playing video games in the lounge room when he heard the door open. He only heard it because he was at a menu screen rather then actually engrossed in the game yet, and at first dismissed it as his imagenation.
Then he heard Kate call his name.
Zac was up like a shot, pushing the controller aside and racing out to the front hall.
"Kate!"
Kate
Kate grinned when she saw Zac and put her bags down on the ground.
"Surprise."
Zac
"Best surprise ever," Zac nodded.
He closed the distance between them, placing one arm around Kate's waist, the other around her shoulders and kissed her.
Kate
Kate kissed him back for a few moments, then pulled away.
"So, food? I'm starving."
Zac
Zac chuckled.
"I'm sure I can arrange something," he grinned. "Walk this way."
He began a silly walk to the kitchen, involving a good deal of bobbing, throwing his legs out beyound their m=normal stride and generally looking like a dork.
Kate
"You totally waited until we were married to become more of a dork, didn't you?"
Kate followed along behind him.
Zac
Zac just chuckled evilly in response.
Upon reaching the kitchen, Zac started opening up doors.
"So, anything in particular you wanted?" he asked.
Kate
"Hmmm, nothing processed. No raw fish. In fact," Kate grinned slyly.
"Nothing a pregnant woman could have."
Zac
Zac paused in his rummaging and look at Kate searchingly.
"Pregnant?" he repeated.
Kate
Kate nodded slowly.
"Yeah."
Zac
Zac closed the distance between them in about two seconds flat, lifted Kate up and swung her around. He kissed her has he put her back down.
"This is a good thing, right?" he asked her.
Kate
Kate nodded.
"It's a great thing."
Zac
Zac grinned and put his arms around her waist.
"Yay! then," he replied. "But what about your course?"
Kate
Kate shrugged.
"Modelling can wait."
Zac
Zac nodded.
"Okay," he said.
