Zac and Saku

There was a knock on the door and Saku jumped with a startled yelp in response.

"Come in," he said irritably.

The door opened and Zac opened his head in.

"Sorry," he said apologetically. "Didn't mean to disturb you. Just wanted to let you know that I'm headed to Tay's now."

"Right, okay then," Saku replied distractedly.

Zac paused.

"Y'know Saku, you've been copped up in here all day. Maybe yo should get out, do something fun and give your brain a rest, huh?"

Saku shook his head in rejection of that idea.

"I've a test coming up soon," he explined. "I need to concentrate."

Zac nodded.

"Okay then. But still, try to find some time to relax. And I had better not find you cramming the night before okay? I've heard that kind of thing can cause black outs."

"I'll be fine, Dad."

"Okay, good," Zac said and finally left.

Saku sighed and looked back down at his book as the door clicked shut. He looked for the paragraph he had been reading and returned to the complex world of magical theory. Saku had wanted a more advanced course than what had been offered at the Watcher Academy, and boy, did he get it. The Watcher Academy was like kingergarten compared to Draíochta Ollscoil. Saku wonder if maybe the fact that he breezed through that gave him a false sense of security or something about the difficulty of "the real stuff".

He hated theory.

Especially right now.
