Trina swallowed very hard as she looked down at Saku and the beautiful red ruby ring he held out to her. Saku had been rather theatrical with his use of fire, and the flames reflected well in her red eyes and the rubies.
Saku looked up at her expectantly, and Trina realised she had been staring in silence for the last minute or something.
"Oh! Yes... yes, I will marry you, Saku."
Saku's face lit up (not in a firey way), and he leapt to his feet. He carefully put the ring on her finger, then swept her up and whirled her around. Trina laughed.
"I love you," he said firmly.
"Oh that's good," Trina replied merrily. "Otherwise I'd have to ask you why you proposed."
Saku grinned and Trina kissed him gently.
"I love you too."
