Avery and Lo sat on a picnic blanket in the garden area, picnic basket behind Lo's head. In between them was a paper plate with two pink iced cupcakes in the centre, a candle in each.
"Laguna next weekend," Lo commented, reaching over with the matches to light the candles.
"What's the weather all about?" Avery asked, watching Lo's hand.
"Should be pretty nice," Lo answered. "It never gets really cold in LB. It was pretty nice out in December, before we went to Mammoth. But we can ask Lauren closer to the date."
"Sounds good."
Lo lit the candles and then handed one to Avie, taking the other for herself.
"Well, happy birthday, stinky," she said, giggling.
"Right back at you," Avery grinned.
