Giles and Faith

Giles was about to turn the lamp off and leave his office when a sudden thought occurred to him. He sat back down and flipped through his rolodex for a second. He lifted the phone up and typed in the number, listening to the ring somewhat apprehensively.

"'Lo?"

"Hello Faith," Giles said quietly.

"Giles," Faith replied. "What can I do for you?"

"How are you holding up?" he asked.

"Ah," she paused. "You heard."

"I did."

About an hour later, Giles put the phone back on the hook. He took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes tiredly. He checked his watch with a sigh, before turning his lamp off and leaving his office, locking the door behind him.
