Faith came out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel, droplets of water still on her chest.
"Hey," she said, looking up, her eyes resting on Dean's bare chest. She shook her head, trying to focus.
"Sam out?"
Dean
"Gone to get breakfast," Dean chewed on his bottom lip, looking her up and down.
"Need any help? You know, getting dry..."
Faith
Faith grinned faintly and moved over to the bed, where she went through her bag for underwear.
"If I recall, you were much better at doing the opposite of getting me dry."
Dean
"Guess I've moved up in the world," Dean tilted his head, watching her.
"Up and up..."
Faith
Faith turned to face him, teasingly pretending to drop the towel.
"How far up?"
Dean
"All the way," Dean grinned teasingly.
Faith
"That's pretty high," Faith said, smiling seductively.
She bent slightly, lifting one foot onto the bed to examine her leg, the short towel revealing a little more than thigh.
Dean
"You know..." Dean began, making his way over after a moment of staring.
"I've noticed you and Sasquatch haven't spent much time alone lately. Maybe I could help with that?"
Faith
Faith turned to face Dean, a small glint in her eye.
"And how will you help, exactly?"
Dean
"You know..." Dean trailled a finger down her arm.
"By fulfilling your... unfulfilled physical needs."
Faith
Faith's lips were inches from Dean's and she could feel his hot breath on her cheek.
"But what about Sam?" she asked, though she was slowly letting the towel fall.
Dean
"What can I say?" Dean shrugged, tilting his head to kiss the nape of her neck.
"If he's not performing, it's my brotherly duty to compensate."
Faith
"We can't..."
Faith let the towel fall completely and she lifted Dean's chin with her fingers, bringing her lips towards his.
Dean
"Forbidden fruit is always sweeter," Dean breathed before lunging into a heated kiss.
Faith
Faith slid her arms around his neck, kissing him back, teeth nipping ever so slightly.
"Dean, we can't..." she tried again, before getting lost in another kiss.
Dean
"I know," Dean grunted, his left hand reaching down to lift her into his grasp.
"Apparently it's physically ipossible for members of the opposite sex to mate, who knew?"
He gently sucked at her throat, backing her up against the wardrobe.
Faith
Faith froze at the word 'mate', and she pushed Dean away.
"Dean, no. This isn't a good idea."
Dean
"Oh come on, can't you feel it?" Dean groaned, holdingher jawline in his hand.
He leant in to kiss her neck again.
Faith
"But... I'm..."
Faith tilted her head back, half heartedly pushing Dean away.
"Pregnant."
Dean
Dean immediately backed off, staring at her in shock.
"What?!" he demanded.
Faith
Faith reached for the towel again, covering up quickly.
"Yeah," she said quietly.
Dean
"To Sam?" Dean demanded, standing upright.
Faith
"Who else?" Faith asked, looking at him.
She reached for her bag to get some clothes out.
Dean
"Then you're aborting it, right?" Dean flanked her.
Faith
"Yeah," Faith said, moving away from Dean.
"We just haven't yet."
Dean
"Well?" Dean shrugged, "why are you wasting time then?"
Faith
"I have an appointment, alright?"
Faith turned away.
"It's not as simple to go in and get one, you know."
Dean
"Do you have a backup plan in case it doesn't work?" Dean asked.
"Maybe we could try an exorcism..."
Faith
"We'll deal with that if it happens," Faith replied.
"It's only two months. It's not even really a foetus yet."
Dean
"And you can't let it get to that stage," Dean insisted.
"It might already be too late, you don't know."
Faith
"We're dealing with it."
Faith turned her attention to getting dressed.
Dean
"You should have already," Dean shook his head, grabbing a shirt and pulling it over his head.
Faith
Faith grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom, not wishing to continue this argument with Dean.
Sam & Dean
Dean had just finished getting dressed when Sam re-entered the room. Dean immediately stormed over.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he demanded, furiously.
"What?" Sam frowned, worriedly.
"That Faith was pregnant?!"
Sam's face paled, and he glanced around the room.
"Where is she?" he asked.
"What were you thinking?!" Dean went on as if he hadn't spoke, "how could you possibly hope to bring a demon kid into a world already on the brink?!"
"Dean, we're not," Sam tried to calm him down.
"You're damn right!"
Faith
Faith listened to the arguing from her place in the bathroom. She leant over the sink, one hand going to her stomach instinctively as a sharp pain shot through her stomach.
She let out a pained cry, holding onto the basin for fear of collapsing.
Sam & Dean
Both brothers looked up at the bathroom, and Sam broke into a short run to get there first.
"Faith?!" he exclaimed, rushing to her side and pulling her up.
Faith
"I'm ok," Faith said, breathing deeply.
She cringed, letting out another cry.
"Ok, maybe not."
Sam & Dean
"Warm up the car, we need to get her to a hospital," Sam demanded, turning to Dean.
"You're kidding, right?" Dean scowled.
Faith
"Sam, it's ok."
Faith held her arm up in protest.
"They're just stress pains. I had them with Tru. They'll pass."
Sam & Dean
"I'm so sorry," Sam grabbed her hand insistantly.
"I'm not," Dean frowned, "maybe the stress could make her abort it naturally."
"Dean!" Sam's voice rose.
Faith
"Ah!"
Faith breathed deeply through her nose, closing her eyes for a second.
Dean & Sam
Dean raised his hands in surrender and left the bathroom.
"Come on, get in the shower. The warm water will help," Sam leant over to turn the taps on.
Faith
"Maybe..." Faith took a deep breath, eyes watering with the pain. "Maybe he has a point."
She was holding onto the basin so tightly her knuckles were turning white.
Sam
"Faith, if it happens naturally, that means something's wrong in there. And it won't just be for the baby," Sam got the water to the right temperature and returned to her side to help her over.
"And you promised me I wouldn't lose you too, remember?"
Faith
"That promise seemed easier to keep when I wasn't in pain."
Faith leant against Sam for support.
Sam
"Come on," Sam stepped in with her, mostly to keep her on her feet.
He ran his fingers through her hair, letting the arm water seep through.
Faith
Faith rested against Sam, one hand still curled around her stomach, the other around Sam's hips.
"I'm ok, I think."
Sam
"Be sure," Sam insisted, talking through the water running down his face.
Faith
"I'm sure."
Faith looked up at him.
"I'll just need some sleep, is all."
Sam
"Ok," Sam nodded, carefully leaning to the side to turn the taps off.
He pulled her out and grabbed a towel to wrap around her, before aking off his wet shirt and throwing it aside.
Faith
Faith leaned against the sink again while she dried herself off.
"Thanks."
Sam
"It's what I'm here for," Sam said absently, grabbing a towel for himself.
Faith
"Yeah, I guess it is."
Faith glanced up at him before straightening up.
Sam
"Want me to make you some soup?" Sam offered, undoing his belt and drying the leather off.
Faith
Faith shook her head.
"I couldn't eat anything, but thanks."
She made her way back to the bed.
Sam
Sam finished drying himself, wrapped the towel around his waist, and walked out to fetch some dry clothes. He noticed that Dean was nowhere to be seen before getting himself dressed.
A minute later he was heating up a hotpack for Faith, then went to put it over her abdomen.
"Here," he said as he placed it carefully, "I'll sleep on the floor tonight, just in case."
Faith
"In case I bleed all over you?" Faith asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You know I'll stress out if you're not in bed with me."
Sam
"I'm less than three feet away," Sam mused.
"And no. I just don't want to hurt you, and I move in my sleep."
He threw a pillow on the floor and went to turn the lights off.
Faith
"Alright, but I'm used to your moving."
Faith pulled the covers up and closed her eyes.
"Night Sammich."
Sam
Sam glanced toward the door, wondering vaguely if he should leave a light on for Dean, before deciding to leave the small table lamp on.
He settled down on the floor beside Faith's bed, pulling a rough blanket over his stomach and punching a the pillow a little.
"Goodnight Faith," he sighed, closing his eyes tiredly.
