Faith sat down at the table across from Sam, absently rubbing the bridge of her nose as they waited for Dean to come back from the bar.
"Dude," Devon said, nudging Oz. "That Faith?"
Oz followed his gaze and nodded. "Mmm."
Sam & Dean
"So I told the guy there was no way in hell it would ever change it's course, right? I mean you know these Pagan gods and how they're al 'sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice'..." Sam contiued his boring story as Dean finally returned and dispersed their drinks.
"So which tale is it this time?" Dean teased, "the one where you save the world or cure world war?"
"Shut up," Sam scoffed, taking a swig of his drink.
Devon, Faith and Oz
Devon strode over to the table, coming up behind Faith, and tickled the back of her neck gently.
Faith turned and her look of anger turned into one of surprise.
"Dev!" she exclaimed, standing up to greet him.
Devon lifted her into his arms and spun her around, feeling her up in the process. He set her down gently, and she grinned at Oz.
"Oz," she greeted.
"Faith," the smaller man replied, nodding.
Sam & Dean
Sam's eyes landed on Oz, having recognised the name. Dean's followed Devon's movements as he took a sip of his beer.
Faith, Oz and Devon
"Dingoes?" Faith asked Oz.
The ex-werewolf nodded.
"We should have roadies," Devon said. "Other bands have roadies."
"Other bands can play more than three chords," Oz pointed out. "Your professional band can play up to seven, eight different chords."
"Whatever, they're just fruity jazz bands," Devon dismissed. "Faith could be a roadie. Or a groupie."
"I'm not going to sleep with you," Faith told him, before turning back to Dean and Sam.
"Devon, Oz, this is Sam and Dean. I... hung out at their high school a lot."
Sam & Dean
"Nice to meet you," Sam nodded as Dean toasted to them.
Faith, Oz and Devon
"Hey, how's Red?" Faith asked, setting herself down on Sam's lap so the other two could join them at the table.
"Good," Oz nodded. "Angel?"
"Good," Faith replied.
"In the area long?" Oz asked.
Faith shrugged. "Unsure. You?"
"Few days."
Devon raised an eyebrow. "You guys always like this?"
"Nah," Oz replied. "We're usually laconic."
Faith grinned at that.
Sam waited for a break in the conversation.
"Why does Oz seem familiar?" he asked Faith, looking between them.
Dean raised an eyebrow curiously.
Faith and Oz
Faith paused awkwardly.
"Oz is... an ex-werewolf."
Oz nodded. "Guilty?"
Sam & Dean
Sam's face paled as he suddenly realised where he'd heard the name before.
"Oh."
Dean looked across at his brother halfway through chewing on peanuts, keeping his eye on his just in case.
Faith, Oz and Devon
Faith suddenly felt extremely awkward and inadequate.
Oz noted the change in her expression and he stood, gesturing towards the bar at her.
Faith stood and followed Oz, the pair walking with their heads close together, talking quietly.
Devon twiddled his thumbs for a second.
"Well," he said, awkwardly, trying to break the ice. "Sometimes I think they would've made an alright couple."
Dean & Sam
"Realising of course that you're in the presence of her current boyfriend," Dean mused, having another drink of beer.
Sam was barely half listening, watching after the two.
Devon, Faith and Oz
"Wow, Faith's doing boyfriends now?" Devon asked, impressed. "Was a time, I would've lined up for that."
Faith shook her head at something Oz said, the pair sitting side by side at the bar. He looked like he was going to put his arm around her, but instead, touched her arm gently, and she looked at him and smiled faintly, before shrugging.
Sam & Dean
Knowing he shouldn't be trying to eavesdrop, Sam got back to his beer.
"Same here," Dean toasted Devon again, "met her in high school in Boston, would have gone for it back then even."
Devon, Oz and Faith
Devon grinned. "Yeah. Met her when she was hanging with the rest of them, in Sunnydale."
He chuckled.
"Man, we had some times."
~*~*~*~
"So," Oz said, glancing at the Slayer.
Faith shook her head. "I don't know."
"I don't believe it," Oz replied. He lightly touched the tattoo on her arm. "I don't think this is true anymore, you know."
Faith glanced at him. "Again, don't know."
Dean & Sam
"Right there with ya," Dean nodded, stuffing more peanuts into his mouth.
"I don't really need to hear about her sexual exploits right now," Sam kept his eyes down.
"They're not hers, they're ours," Dean amended.
"Dean-"
Devon, Oz and Faith
Devon chuckled.
"God, I wonder what happened to those videos."
~*~*~*~
"I understand," Oz said, looking Faith in the eye.
The Slayer looked away, uncomfortable by the intimate gesture. "It's just... you can never compete, you know? And I'm ok with it. It just... it just sucks sometimes."
"You've come a long way," Oz commented. "But, I get it. Tara, remember."
"Yeah."
Dean & Sam
"Videos?" Dean perked up, making Sam roll his eyes.
Devon, Oz and Faith
"Yeah," Devon grinned. "One night, Faith and I got a bit messy. Somehow managed to convince her to put on a show."
He winked.
"And what a show!"
~*~*~*~
"Two words that'll cheer you up," Oz said, nodding.
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"Sake. Bomb."
She let out a laugh. "You're on."
"Hey!" Oz called, louder than usual. "Two sake bombs!"
"I can't believe you actually just yelled," Faith grinned.
"It's for sake though."
The bartender placed two schooners of beer in front of them, chopsticks on top with a shotglass full of sake on top.
"Ready?" Oz asked.
Dean & Sam
"Oh please dear God tell me you still have those," Dean shook his head.
Sam had looked up at Oz's shout, feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden.
Devon, Faith and Oz
"You think I would ever lose those?" Devon asked. "No way man. Faith is like... she's hot commodity. Man, Slayer strength. Mmm."
~*~*~*~
Faith and Oz dropped the sake cup into their schooners and grinned at each other before sculling them down.
Faith finished first and she smirked at Oz.
"Yeah, yeah," Oz waved his hand at her. "Whatever. You feel better?"
"I feel... a little tipsy," Faith grinned.
Dean & Sam
"And I don't blame you. Hey, can you send them to me on your phone or something?" Dean asked.
Sam didn't even hear the request, focusing on Faith too much.
Devon, Faith and Oz
"Dude," Devon said, shaking his head. "I can burn it for you."
He grinned.
"She did this awesome move, and I don't even know if it's humanly possible to get your legs that high but oh my God."
~*~*~*~
"It's the smell, mostly," Oz explained, shrugging. "That's how I know."
"That's... a little weird," Faith replied, shaking her head.
"My advice? Be honest," Oz told her.
"Yeah, because honesty has worked so well for me in the past."
Oz had to give her that one.
Dean
"I think I might have seen that one," Dean nodded in thought.
"Is that the one where you think her thigh is going to like, brst from the pressure, except that it's just the muscle bulging?"
Devon, Oz and Faith
Devon clicked and pointed.
"That's the one."
He glanced at Sam.
"Though... should we be discussing this in front of the boyfriend?"
~*~*~*~
Oz reached across and squeezed her hand.
"You already did it, that's the hard part," he told her. "Now it's trying to live with it being out there."
"Guess so," Faith replied. "Freaks me out, you know? I don't..."
"Is this more Slayer isolationist crap?" Oz asked. "Coz I'm not going to buy into it with you anymore. I get that you were alone for a long time, but you know what? You're not now."
Faith held her hands up in mock surrender. "And he comes out swinging!"
"Damn straight." Oz nodded. "Now I'm going to walk away. And you're going to be honest when you talk to him."
"No," Faith replied. "You're just going to walk away."
Oz stood from his stool and leaned over. He kissed her forehead, then turned and walked away, hands in his pockets.
Dean & Sam
"Nah don't worry about him," Dean mused, glancing at Sam before having another drink.
"No sudden movements and he'll be in la la land until she gets back."
Devon and Faith
"She's nice to watch though, I have to admit," Devon grinned, leaning back in his seat.
Faith stood from the bar and glanced behind her at Sam.
A flicker of something went through her eyes and she came back to the table, looking at the ground.
"Hey," Devon greeted. "Dean and I were comparing Faith stories."
"Well," Faith said, making a face. "Awkward."
"Or hot?" he suggested.
"Awkward."
Sam & Dean
"I agree," Sam's eyebrows rose as he had a drink.
"See?" Dean grinned at Devon.
"What?"
"Nevermind."
Faith and Devon
"You know," Faith said, slipping back onto Sam's lap. "You're a little bit perverted."
"If I am," Devon paused to take a swig of beer. "It's because you corrupted me."
"Oh please," Faith rolled her eyes. "You were already screwing anything that moved when I met you."
"Maybe, but you taught me some new tricks." Devon grinned. "And man, they were something."
"You're a little bit creepy."
Dean & Sam
"The guy's not creepy, he's dedicated," Dean mused.
Sam slid hs arms around Faith's waist, leaning his chin on her shoulder.
Faith and Devon
"Creepy," Faith repeated.
"Is it creepy to think you're hot?" Devon asked.
"No," Faith replied. "It is creepy to like... still think about me naked and such."
"Nah, can't help it," Devon said, shrugging. "Probably half the men in this bar are thinking it."
Faith turned her head slightly and kissed the top of Sam's nose.
Dean & Sam
Dean shrugged in agreement.
"Dean, what were you saying earlier about the boyfriend being here?" Sam's eyebrows rose.
"Meh, I forget," Dean waved him off cheekily.
Devon and Faith
"It's a compliment!" Devon insisted. "You have a hot girlfriend. And it's kinda shocking. You look like one of those mathlete kids."
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"Dev, do you really want to be insulting him? I may hit you."
Dean & Sam
"He doesn't look like one," Dean almost snorted into his beer, "he just is one."
"Dean I was twelve," Sam rolled his eyes.
Devon and Faith
Devon snorted. "Rough deal."
Faith grinned slightly. "Whatever. He's a hot bookworm. Plus, in the bedroom - "
"Don't want to hear about it unless it's with me, babe," Devon grinned.
Dean & Sam
"Yeah ditto," Dean agreed.
"I have to hear it about every second night as it is."
"You do not," Sam scorned.
"Only because I spend a lot of time in the car," Dean teased.
Faith and Devon
"Not enough," Faith said, grinning slightly.
"Yeah, I'd be trying to do you every night," Devon said, nodding. "The Faith I remember was pretty hard to handle. Always wanted more."
"Yeah, well this Faith doesn't mind just sharing a bed with the cute one," Faith replied, shrugging. "But I don't know, think it's because I'm so fond of him."
"Vomit," Devon put in. "You were much more fun when you were all slutty."
Dean & Sam
"And not hooked up with my brother," Dean looked away as Sam gave him a stern look.
Devon and Faith
"You're brothers?" Devon raised his eyebrows. "Isn't that like... against the bro code?"
Faith looked skeptical. "There's a code?"
"Yeah, for sure. You girls don't have a code? You must have a code!"
Dean & Sam
"It's cool," Dean waved Devon off as Sam just looked embarrassed.
"They're happy, I'm happy, we're all good. I just need to get laid more."
Devon and Faith
"Don't we all!" Devon agreed. "Like Oz over there. He's lead guitar. That's like... currency man. He could have any girl, but he's all about committment. What do you think of Will?"
"She's a wonderland tour," Faith replied dryly.
"You gotta admit, the girl is hot," Devon said.
"She is a hot girl," Faith agreed. "I was impressed by her foray into the girl on girl."
"Me too." Devon grinned.
Dean & Sam
"Girl on girl?" Dean's eyebrows rose.
Sam had already mostly phased out of the conversation.
Oz, Devon and Faith
"Oz!" Devon said as the shorter man walked back over. "We're discussing your ex lesbian girlfriend."
Oz looked slightly awkward at that statement. "Why?"
"He's apparently ashamed you're into committment," Faith said, shrugging.
"You're missing out," Devon went on. "What does a girl have to do to get your attention?"
"Well, it involves a feather power and the theme to 'A Summer Place'. I can't discuss it here," Oz deadpanned.
"Too picky. Lead guitar. Massive amounts of girls."
"I'm not picky," Oz replied, shrugging. "You're just impressed by any pretty girl that can walk and talk."
"She doesn't have to talk."
Dean & Sam
"She just has to have the right organs," Dean grinned.
Sam was having trouble taking his eyes away from Oz, but managed to eventually.
"That's gross Dean," he gave him a sharp look.
Oz, Devon and Faith
"I tell Devon the same thing," Oz said to Sam.
"Weak," Devon countered. "Sex is sex. Should be enjoyed often."
"If you ever run for president, I would make that your slogan," Faith told him.
Oz grinned.
"Oz! You made an expression!" Faith feigned shock. "I'm so proud."
"Well, I felt it coming on, I won't lie to you."
Dean
"You'd have my vote with that," Dean grinned to Devon.
Devon and Faith
"At least someone at this table is still fun," Devon said pointedly to Faith. "I liked you better when you were fun."
"I liked you better when..." Faith paused, pretending to think about it. "Never actually."
"Whatever, you liked me. You slept with me!" Devon protested.
"Dev, I don't have to like you to do that. You just have to be there."
Dean & Sam
"She's got you there," Dean agreed.
"But it works from the other side too. Speaking of, I need to investigate that bartender."
He put his empty beer glass down and got up to head to the bar.
Sam rolled his eyes, amused.
Devon, Oz and Faith
"A warm body," Devon shrugged. "You can't beat it."
"Unless you like vampires," Oz pointed out quietly.
"True," Faith agreed. "Too weird, even for me."
"Yeah?" Devon asked, interested.
"Yeah," Faith replied. "It feels weird to be kissing cold lips. That's about as far as I got with a vampire."
Sam
"Any vampire I've met either wanted me dead or mated for life, until Angel at least," Sam shrugged.
"But no offence to him..."
Faith and Oz
Faith briefly wondered if now was the time to confess to Sam that she and Angel had experienced their fair share of kisses with each other.
"Yeah," she said, somewhat awkwardly.
Oz nodded, knowingly.
Dean & Sam
Dean soon returned from the bar, a grin on his face and holding up a phone number.
"Guss I'm hooking up tonight," he said triumphantly, taking his seat and winking across at the bar girl as he did so.
"Good for you Dean," Sam nodded.
Devon, Oz and Faith
"Hmmm," Devon said, eyes scoping the bar. "Maybe I should - "
"We have a gig tonight," Oz pointed out.
"You're no fun."
"How are the rest of the Dingoes?" Faith asked. "New songs?"
Oz shook his head. "We still play as if we have sausages taped to our fingers."
Dean
"I'll make sure not to stick around then," Dean mused, eyeing off the shot the bar girl had given him.
He wasn't even sure what it was.
Devon, Faith and Oz
Devon eyed the coloured shot that was in front of Dean. "What is that?"
"Quickfux," Faith replied, then shrugged at the look she got from Oz. "I worked in a bar, remember?"
Dean & Sam
"Awesome," Dean looked it over again curiously as Sam chuckled.
He toasted to the girl, then drank it down.
Devon, Faith and Oz
"You should work at Hooters," Devon told Faith.
"Aww, sweet talk," Faith rolled her eyes. "Now I'll definitely sleep with you."
Oz smirked.
Dean & Sam
"Woo!" Dean shook his head in reaction to the shot.
"Didn't you tell me once you almost did work at Hooters but they weren't big enough?"
"What?" Sam looked between them.
Faith, Devon and Oz
"No, I said I should, but they weren't big enough," Faith told him.
"They're big enough, trust me," Devon nodded. "Nice too."
In a rare move for Oz, he slapped Devon over the back of the head.
Dean & Sam
"I don't know, they could be a little leaner," Dean shrugged.
"Dean, do you mind?" Sam demanded.
"Nope, not at all."
Devon and Faith
"You don't show them off enough anymore," Devon commented to Faith.
Faith looked down and raised an eyebrow at her low cut top. "How much do you want me to show? Hint of nipple, perhaps?"
"That would be nice!"
Dean
"Hear hear!" Dean slapped the table, tipsily.
Oz, Devon and Faith
"He's just as bad as you," Oz said to Devon.
Devon grinned. "I like him. He understands the importance of breasts."
Faith snickered at Dean. "Quickfux went to his head. They'll do that. Well, the way I made them, they did."
Sam & Dean
"Oh no, this is normal," Sam confirmed.
"But breasts are only on component. Or rather, two," Dean reasoned, only half listening.
Devon, Faith and Oz
"Then there's downstairs," Devon agreed. "Gotta keep a clean house. Faith, you were always well groomed."
Faith raised an eyebrow. "Let's not discuss my grooming habits."
Oz's nose half wrinkled. "No, let's not."
Dean & Sam
Dean looked up at the sound of a whistle, then fished in his pocket for the impala keys.
"Get her home safe my brother," Dean threw them to Sam.
They flew sideways, but Sam somehow managed to catch them without dropping Faith.
"And you," Dean pointed at Devon, "keep it up for the love of mankind."
He reached over the table for a high five.
Devon, Oz and Faith
Devon high fived him back.
"Don't do anything too illegal," he grinned, before turning to Oz. "We better go set up next door."
Oz nodded.
"Nice meeting you," Devon said to Sam, before getting up. "Catch you later, Faith-o."
"See ya, Dev."
Oz stood as well, and nodded at the pair. "Nice to meet you. Hey dark haired girl, we'll talk soon."
"Yeah." Faith smiled. "See ya round."
Sam
"Nice to meet you too," Sam nodded to Oz, waiting until they departed.
He sighed, then looked up at Faith.
"Is there anything we need to talk about?" he asked, somewhat reluctantly.
Faith
"Not... particularly," Faith replied, a little hesitant.
"Unless you had something?"
Sam
"No, no. Just thought you might," Sam shrugged innocently.
"Are you ready to go?"
Faith
"Yeah," Faith said, slipping off Sam's lap.
"Kinda beat."
