"A nightmare," Lorne summed up. "That seems to be the only way to describe it. I'm off to talk to Angelcakes about my budget."
Fred grinned. "I don't envy you."
Wesley walked up the stairs towards the pair, and the trio stopped atop the staircase to talk.
"Hey there," Fred greeted.
"I was just on my way to thinking of an excuse to come and see you," Wesley smiled.
"And how is that working out?" Fred asked flirtatiously.
"Really great. Where are you coming from?" Wesley asked.
"Oh, medical. I breathed some old mummy dust. Had to make sure I didn't discover any new germs," she explained.
Wesley looked concerned. "You all right?"
"They shooed me right off. Mummy free," Fred said.
"Good. I was hoping to take you out tomorrow night, and I don't feature you wrapped in bandages." Wesley's smile returned.
"Take me out where?" Fred leaned a little closer to him.
"Can it be a secret?" Wesley teased.
"Oh sheesh!" Lorne interrupted, grinning as he started down the stairs. "Get a balcony, you two, huh?"
"You'll still find me for lunch, though, right?" Fred called after him.
"I'll just look where the sun shines," Lorne said, then sang, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..."
Lorne continued down the stairs.
"You make me happy..." Fred sang, looking at Wesley.
Lorne stopped in his tracks, the moment he heard Fred sing. He turned to her, a horrified look on his face as she coughed, splatters of blood coming from her mouth. Her eyes rolled up in her head and she started to fall down the stairs, Lorne managing to catch her in time.
"Get medical! Someone get medical NOW!" Wesley yelled.
