"Thank you," Lo said, looking up at the waitress.
Avery smiled her thanks, then picked up her fork. "I'm so tired."
"Yeah, I was going to stop by last night, but I figured you'd be wiped," Lo replied. "How'd it go?"
"It was so much fun," Avery said enthusiastically. "Cold at first, early start, but apart from that..."
"Casey's super nice, isn't she?" Lo asked, nodding.
"Oh yeah!" Avery agreed. "She's so laid back and everything. It didn't feel like work."
"How'd you get on with Cedric?" Lo questioned. "He's so much fun."
"He was so funny!" Avery laughed. "He was just cracking jokes and being insane all day. Made the day go so much faster, I swear."
Lo grinned. "Yeah, we had a fashion show awhile back, and he came out on the runway in his underwear. Threw Stephen off, who was hosting the event."
"Poor Stephen!"
"More like poor audience!" Lo joked.
And so, the two girls continued their gossip session over lunch.
