Julie was lying down in the bath, holding her breath with the water over her head. Just lying there. Seeing how long it took before she started seeing spots. Pushing it until her lungs were screaming for air before finally, if reluctantly, sitting up again.
She never saw her life pass before her eyes, but maybe that was because she wasn't actually drowning. Or maybe it was because she didn't have a life.
