Nikki sighed contentedly, wrapped up in Isaac's arms. Isaac looked down at her and smiled. The movie had finished sometimes ago, they were just enjoying being in each other's company. Or arms. Or both.
"Nikki?"
"Yeah?"
"Let's get married."
"Okay," Nikki giggled.
Isaac started to get up and Nikki looked at him, confused.
"What, now?"
"Yeah, sure. Why not?"
"You're serious?"
"You're not?"
"Uhh, well, I... I... Shouldn't we be like, engaged or something for a while first?"
"Engaged is what you call it when you're making plans to be married," Isaac nodded.
"We can't just elope!"
"Why not?"
"Well I... I... we've been dating over a year, on and off, but only for the last couple of months have we been serious and open with each other..."
Isaac nodded, sitting back down on the lounge.
"You're right. We've both trusted each other with a pretty big part of ourselves these last few months. You know what else?"
"What?"
"By trusting each other with those secrets we've really put our lives into each other's hands. I mean, you don't... you can't trust anyone more than that."
"So, we should get married because we trust each other?" Nikki asked dubiously.
"No, we should get married because we love each other like crazy," Isaac rpelied. "And the fact that I can trust you with my life just reinforces that."
Nikki stared at him for a good long moment.
"Okay," she agreed.
"You mean it?" Isaac asked hopefully.
"Yep. Let's go."
