Vegas, Baby

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Faith

Faith grinned to herself as she followed the impala, her eyes almost hurting from the bright lights of the casino's in the main strip of Vegas.

Wow. Why hadn't she made this trip before?

Sam

Sam kept his eye out for parking lots, not finding any with available spaces.

When he'd lapped around the same block about three times though, he finally saw a few cars pulling out of one. He signalled to turn in hoping Faith would follow before anyone else got in.

Faith

Faith signalled as soon as she saw where Sam was going, and slid smoothly into the parking space. She put the car in park, and sat there for a second, before opening her door.

Vegas. Nice.

Sam

Sam got out of the impala and locked it behind him, walking over to her car and slipping his arm around her waist. Which was more... shoulder-to-waist.

"Where to first?" he grinned.

Faith

Faith locked her car and relaxed into his arms.

"Well, Angel pulled some strings and we are staying somewhere awesome. Also, we're married and I am the heiress to Wolfram and Hart."

Sam

"Which makes me the heir? Awesome," Sam mused.

"But I did mean 'any particular casino'?"

Faith

Faith thought for a moment.

"Um, no, had nothing in mind really, just anything that looked all bright and shiny."

Sam

"Like that one?" Sam stooped to her level and pointed over her shoulder to a bightly lit casino across the road.

"That one's bright and shiny."

Faith

"Oooh, and all enticing with the flashing lights."

Faith nodded.

"I approve. Let's go there. And you can do the... card counting thing."

Sam

"I was hoping to play honestly tonight you know," Sam teased, goosing her as they started to cross the road.

"But if I did... I'd probably lose us a lot of money."

Faith

Faith laughed and pushed him gently as they reached the footpath.

"It's ok, I would distract the other players with my rack."

Sam

"You're not wrong," Sam teased, almost tripping over the curb before reaching to put his arm around her shoulders again as they neared the door.

Faith

Faith laughed, leaning into his side.

"And here I thought you liked me for my brain," she said, mock indignantly.

Sam

"And I'll take this moment to point out that I've never said anything to the positive or negative to that theory," Sam chuckled.

Faith

Faith grinned, and pushed him again.

"Ok, you have a point there. Also, I am hotter than I am smart, so I guess I could forgive you if you liked looking at me."

Sam

Sam produced civilian ID for the doorman, waited for Faith to do the same, then walked on through.

"Well I have to say, your rack is impressive for a girl your size," he continued teasing.

Faith

Faith flashed her ID, following Sam through the doors. She slipped her arm around his waist.

"Well, it is a rack to write home about. If we had homes."

Sam

"Indeed it is," Sam smiled gleefully.

"And for now it's totally mine."

Faith

"Oh really?" Faith laughed.

"So, I own no part of them?"

Sam

"Well, you own the bit that they're attached to," Sam shrugged.

"Which makes it a bit hard to collect, you know."

Faith

"Oh, I see," Faith nodded.

"So, if there was a way that you could just pull them off, you'd just take them and run?"

Sam

"Naw, then I wouldn't get this part too," Sam tapped her on the nose, then leant in to kiss her.

Faith

"Awww," Faith teased, kissing him back. "Flatterer. If you keep that up, you might get very lucky tonight. And not just in the gambling sense."

Sam

"Oh really? I wasn't going to get that anyway?" Sam said cheekily, looking up as they entered the main gaming hall.

He whistled appreciatively as he looked around, not expecting it to be quite as big.

Faith

"I thought I might change it up and be unpredictable by withholding sex for a month. Try out that celibacy thing," Faith joked.

She ran her fingers through her hair.

"Something tells me," she began, looking down at her outfit and then Sam's. "We're going to have to do the whole... dressing up thing."

Sam

"Why? What's wrong with what we're wearing?" Sam looked down at is ripped jeans, biker boots, and stained flannel shirt.

He chewed his bottom lip.

"Ok, so maybe we're not exactly dressed to impress. But we're only here to have fun. And if the country kids start ruffling the suits' feathers...? All the more fun. Am I right?"

Faith

"I think some places will only let you in according to dress code. Also, to get into high stakes games and everything."

Faith shrugged.

"I don't think I own a dress that isn't... revealing."

Sam

Sam shrugged.

"Wo's gonna complain about that?" he smirked.

Faith

"Not you," Faith replied, laughing.

She kept pace with him into the gaming lounge.
