Games are so much cooler

At around lunch time Yvette knocked on the door before stepping into Libby's room.

"Hey, aren't you going to come out so we can wish you a happy brithday?"

Libby paused her game of the Sims 2 and swivelled around.

"Hey 'Vette," she greeted. "Actually I was planning on staying in here all day so I didn't have to hear Dad say 'sweet sixteen, never been kissed' again. Or anyone else for that matter. Because y'know, lame."

Yvette grinned.

"C'mon. We come bearing gifts..."

"Oh well, for gifts then..." Libby grinned.

Mr Snuggles flapped and landed on Libby shoulder and together they left the bedroom.

"Hi Libby," Oliver said. "Happy birthday."

He held out a present and Libby opened it eagerly.

"Yay!" Libby exclaimed. "Open For Business expansion pack! You rock!"

"You didn't give her another Sims game did you?" Mrs Ryan frowned.

"If not computer games, what can we give her?" Yvette asked. "I have a feeling that a free makeover would be wasted."

"Yep," Libby nodded. "Sims are way, way cooler than stupid things like make up."

"I find it rather useful in my work," Yvette remarked dryly.

"Well, that's because show business is why make up was invented," Libby nodded. "Of course you find it useful there."

"Can't argue with that," Ivan grinned.

"I'm with him," Hunter nodded his agreement.

"See? I'm brilliant," Libby beamed.

"Happy Birthday, Libby," Tate piped up then.

"Thankies."

The lunch went rather nicely, then Libby glanced at the time and stood up.

"Well," she said. "It's been great, but we've been doing this for hours now, and I have basketball."

Mrs Ryan sighed.

"I really wish you would hang out with more girls?"

"Why?" Libby asked. "Girls are annoying."

"I'm rather fond of girls myself," Oliver teased.

Libby poked her tongue out at him, and the birthday lunch broke up not long after that.

"Hey Libs!" Matt greeted. "Happy birthenday!"

"Why, thankies," Libby replied.

"Hey, we got you something!"

"Yeah?"

Dan handed her the present which Libby tore open.

"Guitar Hero?" she said dubiously.

"C'mon, you know we both thought it looked like fun," Trent grinned at her.

"It's awesome," Matt nodded.

"Well, thanks," Libby smiled.
