Avery plaited her hair to the side before she reached up to knock on Tanya's door.
Since she'd discovered that block in her mind, she was curious to find out what was behind it, and as she had collaborated with Tanya to make it, she needed Tanya's help to unlock it.
Tanya
Tanya opened up the door. She was expecting HUgh back from playing basketball with Libby and the boys, and was going to ask why he was knocking. Of course, seeing Avery there cause her to turn her "Hugh" into "Hello."
"Come on in," she continued, holding the door open for her.
Avery
"Thanks."
Avery walked inside and turned to look at Tanya.
"I hope I'm not interrupting."
Tanya
"No, not at all," Tanya replied.
She closed the door behind her.
"Have a seat. What can I do for you?"
Avery
Avery sat down and fidgeted for a second.
"Well, this is going to sound weird, but... yesterday I was meditating and well, I suddenly thought of the word 'whizzlewhozzle'."
She paused.
"And now am curious to know what is behind that block in my head."
Tanya
Tanya frowned for a moment.
"Oh!" she exclaimed. "I'd almost forgotten all about that. Yes... it's probably been long enough now there's nothing to worry about."
Avery
"Do I want to know what's behind it?" Avery asked, almost worriedly.
"Well, I kinda do. But... do I want to? If you know what I mean?"
Tanya
Tanya chuckled.
"You remember your interview with Christian last year, yes?"
Avery
"Bits of it," Avery admitted. "There's like a whole chunk that's miss... oh!"
She smiled slightly.
"Well, that explains why it's missing."
Tanya
Tanya grinned.
"You were worried about the possibility of being caught and thought the best way to hide from any potential empath scan would be to block the memories off from yourself."
Avery
"Oh, fair enough."
Avery grinned.
"So, shall we unlock my brain then?"
Tanya
"Sure," Tanya replied. "This is definitely a two-person job."
She got herself settled comfortably on the lounge.
"Ready?"
Avery
Avery nodded and with Tanya's help, she unlocked a portion of her memory that had been stored away for a year.
