Wagons West

Faith

Faith put her bag down next to Harmony's desk, then looked over at Sam.

"Hey, just going to say goodbye to them all... come with?"

Sam

"Nah," Sam shook his head.

"I'll just duck my head into Wesley's office."

Faith

"Sorry, excuse me, Sam?" Harmony chirped up. "Wesley is in Angel's office as well."

Faith nodded and opened the door, waiting a few seconds for Sam.

Sam

Sam grunted to himself, before following Faith to the door.

He waited until she'd gone inside, opting to stay by the door.

Faith, Angel and Lorne

"Hey," Faith greeted, walking over to Angel's desk.

"How are you feeling?" Angel asked.

"Like I did mushrooms and got eaten by a bear," she answered.

"That about sums it up," he smiled.

"Yep."

"And now you're on the road again?" he asked.

"Yeah, from the way handsome over there talks it up," Faith said, inclining her head in Sam's direction. "It sounds like it's where I'm needed."

"Never stop fighting," Angel replied.

"Hey, I was gonna, but someone reminded me that I had something to come back for."

Lorne smiled at this comment and glanced over at Sam.

"Yeah," Angel nodded. "Sorry I didn't get to see you. Our little brain tour notwithstanding."

Faith grinned. "Another time."

"I have a lot to thank you for," he told her.

"Well," Faith replied, pushing her hair from her eyes. "That vice is plenty versa. But I even start and it's going to lead to hugging..."

"And we can't have that."

"Nope."

Sam

"Catch you next time, Wes. Give me a call if anything comes up?" Sam said in a low voice, so the others could keep talking over him.

Faith, Gunn, Angel and Lorne

"Of course," Wesley replied, reaching out to shake Sam's hand.

"I get it, I screwed up," Connor huffed.

"Hey, cheer up, punk. That just makes you one of us," Faith said, knocking his shoulder slightly.

"You headed out?" Gunn asked.

"Yeah, no tears, big guy," Faith replied, and the pair shook hands.

"I'm good. I just wish I could've seen you kicking the crap out of Junior here," Gunn grinned.

"It was pretty funny," Faith laughed, moving on to say her farewell to Wesley. "Wes."

"Faith," he returned.

"See," Faith said, looking at Angel. "Brits know how to say goodbye."

She walked back over to Sam and nodded at the rest of the group. "Time goes by, Sam."

Sam

Sam had shaken Wesley's hand, then nodded to Faith.

"Let's hit the road," he smiled towards the others in the room, before turning to leave.

Faith

Faith followed Sam out, pausing to grab her bag as they head for the garage.

"Hmm, new car," she mused, looking at the keys she'd been given.

Sam

"What happened to the other one?" Sam mused, glancng over hs shoulder.

When they made it to the garage he made his way straight over to the impala.

Faith

Faith grinned slightly.

"Nothing really, got an upgrade.

She opened the new car and tossed her bag into the backseat.

"Well... it needed to be cleaned."

Sam

"Whatever," Sam chuckled.

He threw his own bag into the trunk and put his laptop onto the backseat before going to open the driver door and leaning on it.

"So. Michigan? Sound good?"

Faith

"Anywhere, just as long as we're sharing a bed," Faith replied, grinning cheekily.

She opened her door and watched him for a moment.

Sam

Sam grinned playfully.

"At least we're not sharng a car then. I probably wouldn't be able to drive," he teased, finally getting in and closing his door.

He wound the window down and started the engine, pausing a moment to listen to her purr.

Faith

Faith laughed and slid into the drivers seat, opening her own window before starting the car.

"Are you worried that I would touch you inappropriately while driving? Me? Never!"

She reached beside her for her sunglasses.

Sam

"Of course not, why would I?" Sam called out over the gunning of the engine.

He turned to look over his shoulder and reversed out, not waiting for her.

Faith

Faith pulled out of her parking spot, while fiddling with her iPod. She managed to beat Sam to the garage exit and punched in her code to let them out.

Pressing a button, she wound her window back up, then flicked her music on, before driving out of the garage.

She slid her sunglasses onto her face.

Sam

Sam gunned the engine again, following her out of the garage before the doors closed.

Once on the road he overtook her, leading the way out of the state with Dean's music blasting.
