Nice to meet you, I guess

Angel, Gunn and Faith

"I'm not," Angel said, sitting down.

"Well, I can't!" Gunn put in. "She looks like she'd hit me back and I don't know if I could stand up to that."

Faith grinned. "I promise. It's a free shot. Someone has to hit me."

Sam

"I can't," Sam stepped back, hands up in surrender.

"Not that it'd be like hitting a girl... not that you're not a girl... just, no."

He stopped before he dug himself deeper.

Faith, Gunn, Angel and Spike

Faith stifled a laugh. "Wes?"

Wesley shook his head. "I doubt I could hit you hard enough."

"Ok, so you've come up with this brilliant plan," she said, turning to Angel and raising an eyebrow. "And yet, none of you are prepared to, you know, help it be authentic."

"Should we worry about your eagerness to be hit?" Gunn joked.

"Hey big guy, need another car, the last one ended up in the drink - " Spike stopped short, once he'd walked into the office and realised there was somewhat of a debate going on. "'Lo Slayer."

"Spike," Faith returned. "Your lucky day. Need a bruise on my face. Care to do the honours?"

Spike grinned, walking over to her. "Bloody hell, yeah. How do you want it?"

"Anyway you want to, baby," Faith said, smiling back at him.

Spike chuckled and then hit her with a powerful punch.

Faith's head snapped back and she wiped the blood from her nose.

Sam

Sam stood as if getting ready to protect her, before realising she knew the guy and was encouraging him.

He stood back where he'd been and folded his arms, forcing himself not to ask her if she were ok. Of course she was.

Spike, Faith and Angel

"Bloody hell, that was fun!" Spike gloated. "And she's not even going to hit - "

He was interrupted by Faith's fist in his face.

"Turnabouts fair play, love," she told him.

Spike folded his arms and looked at Angel. "I know you're awfully fond of her, but I'm not. Can I kill her?"

"Oh please," Faith said, rolling her eyes. "Like you could."

"Anyway," Wesley interjected. "Sam, this is Spike. Spike is... well, he's a vampire with a soul. Like Angel."

"He is not!" Angel protested at the same time Spike exclaimed "I am not!"

"We're very different," Angel went on.

"He's all broody like a block of wood. Big forehead. Very different colouring," Spike said.

Faith grinned.

Sam

Sam just nodded silently, feeling very out of place all of a sudden.

Again.

Spike and Faith

"We're very different," Spike told Sam. "So. You're Faith's latest piece?"

"Charming," Faith said.

Sam

"I guess I am," Sam nodded.

"Sam Winchester," he introduced himself.

Spike and Faith

Spike looked over the pair. "I give it another week before she screws it up."

"Hey!" Faith objected.

"Calling it as I see it, ducks."

Sam

"So you're a psychic vampire?" Sam mused.

Spike and Angel

"Nah mate," Spike dismissed. "But I've just seen this one in action. All Slayers fu - "

"Spike," Angel said, his voice low and menacing. "Aside from somehow losing another of my cars to a river, did you need anything?"

"No," he replied. "I'm just here for your outstanding company."

Sam

"Just to make sure, I'm not allowed to kill this fang, right?" Sam leant in to Faith.

Spike, Faith and Angel

"Like to see you try, mate," Spike said, folding his arms across his chest. "Gem of Amarra."

"If I cut his hand off, you can kill him," Faith replied, looking up at Sam.

"No killing in my office, it's a new thing I'm trying," Angel said, knowing Faith and Sam would be quite capable of killing Spike if they wanted.

"So, out of the office is ok?" she said cheekily.

"Please," Spike said, shaking his head. "You think you've got him all wrapped around your pinky finger with your big doe eyes and... the rack. But blood calls to blood, princess."

"No killing Spike," Wesley reaffirmed, seeing the look on Faith's face.

Sam

"Then why do you let him in?" Sam looked between Angel and Wesley, purposely ignoring Spike.

Angel and Spike

"He... fights on our side these days," Angel started.

"And the blood thing," Spike added. "Come on. A little. We're family."

Sam

"What's he talking about?" Sam asked Faith.

Faith, Angel and Spike

"Angel made Drusilla, who made Spike," Faith explained. "So, technically, they are family. Grandsire or something. The whole thing is kind of weird, considering they sleep with each other."

"Hey, we never - " Angel said at the same time Spike cut in with "Well, there was that one time."

Faith grinned. "I didn't mean you guys, but... alright."

Sam

Sam nodded.

"Sorry, I'm not so big on the vampire-family-intel," he shrugged, his apology quite obviously directed at Angel.

"I just kill alot."

Angel, Spike and Faith

"Hey, so do I," Angel said, smiling faintly.

Spike was sulking slightly about being left out.

"Hey," Faith turned to Sam and kissed his cheek. "You got stuff to do with Wes? I think I want to do some training. Spike, you in?"

Spike brightened. "To kick your arse? Hell yeah."

Sam

"Not really," Sam glanced across at Wesley for his approval.

"But I can chill for a while. See you later."

He gave her a peck on the cheek and made to leave the office.

Faith, Spike and Angel

"Ok, see ya," Faith called after him, then turned to Spike.

"Come on then," Spike said, leading the way.

Wesley and Angel looked at each other.

"You can't kill any of them," Wesley said.

"I know."
