Faith disentangled herself from Sam's arms and sat up. She yawned and stretched, then stood, walking across to the bathroom, not bothering to stop to put something on.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror for a second, thinking briefly that they should probably be moving on again today.
Sam
Sam's eyes flickered open as Faith moved. He watched as she headed for the bathroom, then simply turned over and closed his eyes again.
Slayer's might not sleep in, but he was sure gonna try.
Faith
Faith turned the taps on the shower, waiting for the water temperature to be just right before she stepped under the spray, tilting her head back.
She rubbed her face and sighed in contentment, before reaching for the shampoo.
Sam
When Sam heard her in the shower, he grunted a little to himself.
She wasn't going to let him just sleep in. And while she might try, she still wouldn't.
He pulled himself up and made for the bathroom himself, closing the door behind him.
"Room for one more?"
Faith
"I don't know, you're awfully tall," Faith joked.
She washed the conditioner from her hair and stepped back to allow him access.
Sam
"Then you can have the water side and I'll just stand here with your body for warmth," Sam suggeste, stepping in behind her and closing the curtain.
He ran his fingers through her hair, helping her wash the soaps out.
Faith
"That's a good plan."
Faith leant up and kissed him.
"Sleep well?"
Sam
"Like a baby," Sam smiled, leaning down to kiss her as he swayed her body a little.
Faith
Faith was quiet for a minute.
"You know... I never really got that saying. Because well, don't babies wake up at all hours of the night and cry?"
She grinned.
"Unless... that's what you did?"
Sam
"I think that if I had, you'd be the first to know about it," Sam chuckled.
"Want a back rub?"
Faith
"Mmm, thanks. It's wicked sore for some reason."
Faith smiled slightly and turned around.
Sam
"Sorry about that," Sam apologised, starting to massage her shoulders.
"Like I said, it's been a while."
Faith
"It's ok," Faith reassured. "It's an ok kind of sore."
She paused.
"Well, we'll delve into my issues with pain later."
Sam
"Not if you don't want to," Sam assured.
"Though I do have an insatiable hunting urge right now."
Faith
Faith smiled and leant back against him slightly.
"Yeah, same. New case?"
Sam
"There's a couple of suspicious obits in nearby towns. Cold be the same thing doing it. People falling into comas at random times, on a bus for instance," Sam shrugged.
"Could be a flu virs, or it could be something sinister."
Faith
"Well, not to sound like the average Slayer, but I hope it's something that I can beat the hell out of," Faith said.
"I'm kinda itching for a good spot of violence. Something challenging too."
Sam
"Then here's hoping it's something coporeal," Sam said.
"For your sake, anyway. I'd just prefer to shoot."
Faith
"Stand back and let the girl do the heavy lifting?" Faith suggested.
She ran a hand through her hair.
"We should probably make with the moving then."
Sam
"No reason to rush," Sam insisted, leaning down to nuzzle her neck a little.
"We could just be getting started here."
Faith
Faith smiled and rested back against Sam, tilting her head slightly to allow him more access to her neck.
"Oh really?"
Sam
"Unless you want to go now..." Sam pulled away teasingly.
Faith
Faith turned around and reached up, sliding her arms around Sam's neck.
"Um. No."
Sam
"Fine then," Sam grinned.
"Your wish is my command."
Faith
A short time later, Faith reached for the taps of the shower again.
"Well," she said. "That's a good way to wake up."
Sam
"Agreed. We should do it more often," Sam nodded, stepping out and grabbing a towel to dry himself with.
Faith
Faith grinned and followed him out, taking the other towel. She wrapped it around herself and opened the bathroom door, heading for her bag to get some clothes.
"Ok."
Sam
When Sam was done he wrapped the towel around his waist, then went to brush his teeth at the sink.
"Do you need any breakfast?" he called out, mouth full of suds.
Faith
Faith slipped her shirt over her head, then started the search for clean underwear.
"Hmmm, probably should eat."
Sam
"Cool."
Sam spat into the sinked and rinsed his mouth out, then ventured out to find some clean clothes.
"I'll look up those obits again, then we can pack up and head for the diner. Sound good?"
Faith
"Aha!" Faith pulled the underwear on and then her pants, buttoning them up before turning to Sam.
"Sure thing."
She moved back to the bathroom to brush her teeth and her hair.
