Sam ran his fingers gently through Faith's hair, absently wondering if she actually liked that or not.
She was a little... different.
"Are you still awake?" he asked after a long silence.
Faith
Faith smiled lightly, then looked up at Sam.
"Yeah, just... comfortably numb."
Sam
"So... your head isn't racing with thoughts wondering what this means?" Sam asked almost hopefully.
"Because hey, guilty."
Faith
"Oh, I just assumed we were engaged now," Faith joked.
She ran her fingers over his stomach gently.
"Where are your thoughts at?"
Sam
"I don't know," Sam sighed.
"I mean, no offense, but I'm not into the same 'dating structure' as Dean."
Faith
Faith nodded, and looked up at him again.
"So... what do you want from me?"
Sam
"I'm just saying... I'd want this to last longer than a weekend," Sam shrugged.
Faith
Faith nodded, smiling.
"Yeah. Me too."
Sam
"Really?" there was a lot of hope in Sam's voice.
"I was worried you might not be into the long term thing. Figured it was a vocational habit. Also, guilty."
Faith
"I mean, don't get me wrong," Faith said, shrugging slightly. "I do sometimes do the 'get some, get gone' thing. It's just easier... plus, let's just say... a guy looks at me and his priorities shift."
She almost smiled.
Sam
"Yeah, I can tell," Sam smirked a little.
"In my case it's just always putting them in danger. At least with you... well, I know you can handle your share."
Faith
Faith laughed.
"Yeah."
She was silent for a moment.
"So, at the risk of being totally girly and wow, this is the first time I have ever asked this... what are we?"
Sam
Sam hesitated, unsure of how to word it at first.
"If you want us to be a couple, then we officially are," he suggested hopefully.
"We already fight like we're married after all."
Faith
Faith laughed.
"Good point, also a factor. Alright, well, I'm in if you are."
Sam
"And I'm in," Sam chuckled.
"So we are. Cool."
Faith
Faith nodded, then looked up at him, a serious expression on her face.
"Right, well then there's something you have to do for me."
Sam
"Obligations already?" Sam's eyebrows rose.
Faith
"Hey, you signed up for it," Faith teased.
She made a move to sit up.
"Yeah. Well, Faith needs food to regain energy after that... marathon."
Sam
"Oh, right," Sam rolled his eyes playfully.
"Whatever you want, I'd better be able to do it from here. And after that I'll probably need sleep. Any particular requests?"
Faith
"I can get it," Faith said, rubbing his arm.
"Just... have to locate some clothing."
Sam
"Oh ok," Sam realised, a little relieved.
"Well..." he shifted a little and reached under the bed clothes, "the underwire of your bra was poking my leg for a good few mnutes so it must be here somewhere... here it is."
He pulled it out and handed it to her triumphantly.
Faith
Faith chuckled and leant over to kiss him.
"Ah, not just a pretty face."
Sam
"Nope," Sam smiled charmingly.
"I think your pants are on that side somewhere, but I have no idea where your underwear or top are. I think they ran away while they could so they wouldn't get destroyed..."
Faith
Faith considered her options for a second.
"Screw the food thing," she said. "Finding clothes is proving too difficult."
Sam
"Dont worry, I'll do something. I'm getting hungry now myself," Sam insisted.
He turned the kettle on with a flinch.
"How's soup? Easiest and quickest I can think of that we have."
Faith
"Cool with me. I'll just lay here and be naked."
Faith leant back against the pillows.
Sam
Sam took his arm from around her so that he could concentrate on what he was doing, and by the time he was done he was shaky and more sweaty than when he'd begun.
But he managed to get the bols over to them, before collapsing back against his pillows.
"Food," he smiled again.
Faith
"You know," Faith began. "The whole telekinesis thing... kinda sexy."
She grinned at him.
Sam
"Maybe," Sam frowned a little, taking a sip of his soup.
"But it's not very fun yet. It takes a lot out of me."
He hesitated, licking his bottom lip.
"Or do you just like seeing a man in pain?" he raised an eyebrow curiously.
Faith
Faith grinned a little more.
"Not in pain, no."
Sam
"Just so we have that straight," Sam mused, eating more soup.
"So... what are your usual after-sex activites?"
Faith
"Well, there's my charming habit of kicking the guy out straight after," Faith said, eating some soup.
"There's food. And there's sleep. Or sometimes, if I'm too wired, there's some patrolling. What about you?"
Sam
"Sleeping, and letting a werewolf run rampant," Sam said absently, before hesitating awkwardly.
"Sorry, it's just... it's been a while. I was busy with the whole trying-to-save-Dean's-soul thing."
Faith
"Eh," Faith shrugged. "It's just like riding a biker really. Never forget."
Sam
"I don't think I'll be forgetting the last one anytime soon," Sam agreed, putting the bowl on the coffee table and settling down to put his arm around her again.
Faith
Faith set her bowl down on the bedside table and lay back down beside him, resting her head on his chest.
"So," she said, entwining their fingers. "Sleep now."
Sam
"'Sleep now' sounds good," Sam nodded, closing his eyes.
