Rogue frowned as Gambit made an unexpected turn.
"Umm... this isn't the way home..."
Gambit grinned.
"It is now."
"What do you mean, it is now?" Rogue asked.
"I have a wedding present for my bride."
"Oh. Oh!"
It took them a little while to get there, but they soon pulled into the driveway of the elegant two storey-house. Rogue stared out of the window as Gambit pressed the button on the remote and the garage door open.
Gambit parked the car in the garage and as Rogue got out she noted that her own car was here too.
"This way," Gambit said.
He opened the door into the main house and proceeded to take Rogue on a tour that ended in the master bedroom.
"But when did you organise all this?"
"Well, I bought the house back in October," Gambit said smugly. "And sinec you've been living at Xavier's most of the time, especially in the final weeks leading up to the wedding - "
"I didn't want you to seem y wedding gown before time."
"- I was able to do the final move without you noticing a thing."
"And you succeeded very well. Remy... this place is amazing."
"I thought you'd love it. My little home was good for a bachelor, not so much for a young newly wed couple who plan on having kids one day."
Rogue smiled and kissed them.
And on that note, we'll just leave the happy couple right there to do happy newly wed couple in their first house stuff.
