Zac stepped out of the shower. He dried himself off, more or less with the towel, which he subsequencly wrapped around his waist. He slid open the ensuite door and stepped into his bedroom, and promptly stopped short.
"Uh, Julie? What are you doing in here?"
"I should think it was obvious."
"Okay, better question. Why are you lying naked on my bed?"
Julie grinned at him.
"C'mon Zac, we used to have so much fun, you and I."
"Uhh, yes, this is true. We had some marvellous time. But I'm not really sure I want to reminise."
Julie got up off the bed and sauntered over to him seductively.
"Oh c'mon, Zac," she said coyly. "You know you want to."
Zac shivered as she pressed herself again him. Damn her. She still knew exactly what buttons to press to turn him on.
"Julie..."
Julie silenced him with a kiss. Zac finally managed to lift him arms (although it felt like he was dragging them throw mollassas) and pushed her gently away.
"Julie, this isn't... we're not doing this, okay?"
"Aww, Zac... but I mis your hands. You always had such wonderful -"
"Okay, seriously, Julie, I can give you a million reasons why this is a bad idea," Zac said trying to be firm. "You've just, umm, broken up with Bobby, which, I know, breaking up with someone you love is a nasty event no matter what way you look at him. But I... you can't just go after sex whenever you're depressed, okay? Trust me, it's a lousy idea."
"I'm not depressed!" Julie objected. "I just... lonesome... for company."
"Uh huh. Listen any time you want company we can have a game of scrabble or something."
"Aww, but scrabble isn't nearly as fun as this," Julie replied, her hand wandering south.
Zac swallowed very, very hard.
"B'Elanna and Tom," he said finally.
"What about them?"
"That's another reason why we shouldn't do this. You and I... we're way, way too fertile for our own good."
Julie beamed.
"I brought protection."
"Yeah, I've has all so much success with that before."
"C'mon Zac... I know you haven't been getting any lately. That must be so hard for you... y'know, the fact that you haven't be... hard that is."
"Julie. We. Are. Not. Doing. This," Zac said deliberately. "Sex is not going to make you happy, okay? You're going to have to deal with this the conventional way."
"Hey, this is conventional. For me."
"Well, it's not healthy. Believe me, I know," Zac replied. "C'mon, let's get you back to your own bed in your own room."
Julie pulled away from him.
"Forget it," she snapped. "I thought you of all people would understand, but clearly I was wrong. I'll get back on my own."
Julie whisked up her dressing gown from the floor and put it on as she stormed out of the bedroom. Zac sighed, then turned back to the ensuite.
"I need another shower," he muttered to himself.
