Plotting

Nikki and Lisha

Nikki was nervous. Very nervous. When Stella informed her the the Lady - the leader of the Fudge Gang - wanted to meet with her...

Nikki swallowed hard as the door opened and in came Lisha with her spiky, green and purple hair and purple eyes. She sat down in her chair and put her feet up on the desk.

"So, Nikki," she said. "I've heard interesting things about you. You've made yourself a pretty good spy, which the Fudge Gang certainly appreciates. On the other hand, your ex-boyfriend found out about you. We don't appreciate that so much."

"I didn't tell him!" Nikki defended. "He recognised -"

Lisha held up her hand for silence.

"I know," she said. "Fortunately for Isaac Hanson, we have an... interest in him."

Nikki frowned, wondering if this might have something to do with what Isaac was saying about being previously accused of associating with the Fudge Gang.

"I don't think Isaac would join us," Lisha went on. "Indeed, I'm not really expecting anything of the sort. However, he does have connections with some... powerful people. Powerful people I simply don't have the spies capable or available to go near."

Lisha considered Nikki carefully.

"I believe I have a way to solve both our problems."

"Yes, My Lady?"

Lisha smiled to herself before continuing:

"You may not have heard... one of our other operatives investigating the Alion project has recently been captured - and murdered. I do not particulary care for the mistreatment of my people, so I have decided to return the favour. Your mark... you've pretty much squeezed him dry of all the information we could get from him, so I think it's time he had a little accident. That will solve Isaac's little upset about you sleeping with other men."

Nikki nodded and swallowed nervously.

"I'm still not... he may not... he doesn't like me being involved with... with the Fudge Gang."

"No. And of course, you both know you can't just 'quit'. However... you could always tell him that we think you may have been exposed and don't intend to use your serives for awhile. We want you to lay low, and you think that if you lay low long enough we might forget about you, blah, blah. Whatever you need to say to convince him, just make sure you keep your story straight."

"Of course."

"And don't give him too many details. You be amazed at hoe often a good lie is spoiled by too many details."
