No Direction Home

Written by Nessa

Robin

Robin scrolled through his phone, pausing when he came to a particular name in the address book.

Faith.

He debated ringing her, but stopped short, unsure of what to say or what her reaction would be.

They'd sort of hit it off in Sunnydale, and if he was being honest, he was a little blown away by her. He'd heard the story, been filled in by Buffy and her friends, but once he'd met her, she wasn't like the girl he had heard described.

She was... more vulnerable. Impulsive, yes. Dangerous? Well, he could see why they would think that. Maybe a part of her was still like that, but he had to admit, it was sort of her appeal.

He sighed, flipping his phone shut and leaning back against his seat.

As of late, he'd felt a little... lost, really. Since Sunnydale had become the smoking crater in the ground, he'd relocated to Washington State and tried his hand at teaching again, but it had never felt right. The location, the semi smallish demon population, everything.

He'd heard Xander had recently relocated to Los Angeles, and after thinking it through, Robin decided that maybe he should head there for a bit. Catch up with Xander, try teaching again, maybe see how the whole demon hunting thing was coming along. It was worth a try.

Any direction was better than no direction, really.
