You Again

Sam & Bela

Sam was following a lead on Faith. He was on a highway between a few small towns, checking every now and then on his map to make sure he was headed in the right direction.

About the third time after he'd taken his eyes off the road, he took note of the silver car behind him. It had been following him since the last town he was sure, but he hadn't wanted to be paranoid about it. His mind was on something else after all.

He pulled into a park spot as soon as he came across one, watching as the car flew past. He waited a few moments, then pulled onto the road behind it and began following it himself.

The driver braked a few times, suspiciously, before coming to a halt in the middle of the road. Sam frowned, starting to get worried, before opening his door and stepping out of the car.

The door of the car in front opened, and out stepped a familiar face.

"Were you ever going to say 'hello' or were you just planning to play chicken all afternoon?" she smirked, "hello Sam."

"Bela," his frown deepened.

"Don't be so shocked," she mused.

"You... but you were..."

"Dead? Hardly," she turned back to the car and put one foot in.

"Lets get off the road shall we? Wouldn't want to mangle Dean's precious car again."

Sam glanced behind him at a truck headed their way, before getting back in the car and following her up the road a little. She pulled into the next stop, and he pulled the impala in behind her.

They both turned their cars off and got out once again. Sam made his way over to her, having been first out.

"How can you be alive?" he demanded, "you told Dean that Lilith was after you."

"That's right. And she was."

"What did you do?"

"I gave her something she wanted."

"And what was that."

Bela grinned like a cheshire cat.

"You haven't heard from your little demon friend Ruby lately, have you?"

Sam grabbed her by the shoulders and slammed her back against the car.

"Sam! That hurt!"

"You'll be in a lot more pain if you don't tell me exactly what you've done to her."

"I did nothing," Bela insisted seriously, "I just made sure Lilith knew where to find her. As it turned out, she wasnt far away."

Sam pulled her forward and sammed her back again.

"Really, Sam. I'm getting a headache."

"Tell me what Lilith wanted with her."

"I don't know," Bela's eyes widened a little.

"Tell me where she sent her."

"I don't know. I was just the messenger," Bela's eyes looked between his, unsure of what he was doing to her.

"Then tell me how to contact Lilith."

"Sam...?"

"TELL ME!"

"I call her. That's all," Bela shook her head, "but she'll know it's you if you do."

"I don't care. Give me your cell phone."

"Why should I-"

"Give me your cell phone."

Bela slowly reached into her jacket pocket, and handed it over.

Sam searched through the numbers until he found the right one. He pressed the call button and waited.

Nothing.

"She's probably in a different dimension by now. She knows you're after her."

"What do you know about different dimensions?"

"A lot," Bela admitted freely, "but what I know and you don't could fill a library."

"So you know how I was controlling you just now?" Sam said matter- of-factly.

"No," Bela's eyes lowered, "but I don't doubt that I'll find out."

"What makes you think I won't just kill you here?"

"Because you can't hold a candle to your brother, and even he couldn't do it."

Sam's eyes seethed as he threw the phone to the ground.

"My brother's dead. And I hold you responsible for that. What do you expect me to do?"

"Let me go."
