Sugared Windows

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Faith

Faith stood back, admiring her handiwork.

"Sorry sweets, but you're the window that Sam is going to look through to come after me."

The girl's face was bloodied and bruised, her mouth still open in a silent scream that made Faith giggle every time she glanced at it.

"Oh poppet, it's really not that bad."

She headed for the bathroom to wash her hands, enjoying the feel of the warm water on her cold hands, basking for a second, then finishing up and turning around.

"Right... next to Godliness."

And with that, she got started on removing any trace of her prescence in the house.

A hand groped the seat next to her, feeling underneath the map for her sunglasses. Having found them, she slipped them on, grateful to stop squinting in the early morning sun.

Faith yawned, then reached up and flicked the stereo on, head bopping in time to the music, and she wondered briefly how Sam was doing.

Sam

Sam stood over the girl, looking down at her with pity.

She wasn't far gone. He could sense it.

He'd find her. He was growing more sure of that every day.

He turned and walked out of the house, not even bothering to call this one in. Someone would find her soon enough.
