Saku and Trina sat in the park in the dark. The street lights were on and there wasn't another soul in sight.
"This has been a wonderful evening," Trina sighed.
Saku leaned over and kissed her.
"Why thank you," he said. "I did my best."
"I'm surprised you didn't manage to show off with something firey."
"Well, I do that so often. I don't want to become predictable."
Trina chuckled and Saku grinned at her.
"Although, I think sometimes our powers get ahead of us."
"Well, they are very similar."
"And we are pretty compatable."
"All true."
There was a long silence. Not an awkward one, but a comfortable one shared between the closest of friends.
"Trina..." then Saku hesitated.
"Yeah?"
Saku licked his lips nervously for a moment.
"I... I love you..."
Trina paused, then smiled at him.
"I think I rather love you too, actually."
