Oliver came home from work. It was with great relief that he relaxed in the lounge, throwing his feet up on the coffee table.
"Hi honey," Yvette greeted him.
"Hey. How'd it go?"
Yvette shrugged.
"'Twas okay. Listen, I was thinking I might not go for another role after this one. Not for a little while anyway."
"Oh? Why?" Oliver asked.
"Well... you know how we planned on waiting a year or two before having kids?"
"Yeah?"
"We no longer have that option."
"Oh. Oh! You mean..."
"Uh huh."
"Yvette! That's great!" Oliver exclaimed.
"Really? You're not upset?"
"Why would I be? Yeah, okay, we're going to have to chance some of our plans, but psh. They were never set in stone."
Yvette grinned.
"No," she said. "No, they weren't."
