Memory Lane

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Faith

Faith walked into the motel room and tossed Dean a huge bag of food.

"There you go, handsome."

She tossed the other bag on the bed she shared with Sam, hearing water running from the bathroom.

Dean

"Maybe you know," Dean lunged for the bag and opened it to inspect the contents.

"Is today some kind of holiday or something? I swear it's someone's birthday maybe."

Faith

Faith sat down and opened her own bag of food, rifling through it for the burger.

"No one's that I can think of. Why?"

Dean

"I don't know, just a feeling," Dean shrugged.

"And it's not the day I went into the pit or anything. It's not Sam's birthday, and it's not mine..."

Faith

"Yeah..."

Faith paused, thinking for a moment.

"I swear, something happened today. Well, not today today."

Dean

"I'm trying to think of where I was this time last year and I'm drawing a blank. We move too much," Dean rolled his eyes, stuffing handfuls of chips in his mouth.

Faith

"I was..."

Faith tilted her head, unwrapping her burger.

"Tulsa. Because I'd just done the awkward Christmas with the ex."

Dean

"I think I remember that," Dean said thoughtfully.

Then he caught her eye.

"Wait a minute... wasn't that about the time we ah...?"

Faith

"We...? Oh. Um. Yeah."

Faith looked back at her food.

"Doesn't seem that long ago, really."

Dean

"No it doesn't," Dean said thoughtfully.

"I must say we've gone amazingly well with the 'no sex' thing."

Faith

"I'm proud of us," Faith grinned.

"Although, it's not like we don't still check each other out."

Dean

"We're only human," Dean shrugged.

Faith

Faith was quietly thoughtful for a moment, before giggling.

"Oh man, our first time... we were in an alley."

Dean

"I barely remember that one," Dean pulled a face.

"Now, the time in the impala behind the cop station, that was fun..."

Faith

"Mmm, wasn't that the time you lectured me on leaning on the hood of your baby?"

Faith grinned slightly.

"That lecture didn't last long, if I recall correctly."

Dean

"Only because we moved. Mmm... Boy did we move," Dean sighed happily.

Faith

"Looking back, I'm really surprised we didn't get arrested. Especially when I was on my - "

The bathroom door opened and Faith didn't bat an eyelid.

"Quesadillas. I think that's my favourite Mexican dish."

Sam & Dean

Sam left the bathroom, towelling his hair dry again.

"Oh come on, you can't go past tacos!"

"Seriously, the only thing you guys talk about is food?" Sam teased.

"Food is life," Dean smirked, taking a huge bite of his burger.

Faith

"We could talk about sex, if you like?" Faith grinned at Dean.

"We both know a lot about that topic, also."

Dean & Sam

Dean opened his mouth to agree, but was cut short by Sam's protests.

"We're all adults, I'm sure we can think of a topic of substance that involves neither," he insisted.

Faith

Faith smirked, and lay back on the bed, rifling through the bag of food again.

"Anyway," she continued, glancing at Sam. "Your lunch is here, also."

Sam

"Great, thanks," Sam walked over to the bed and sat down, drying his hair a bit more before grabbing the bag.
