International Chit Chat

Angel and Faith

"The connection is bad," Angel told Faith. "You sound like you're in a tunnel."

"Nope, in Giles's house in London. If you can call it that. Between you and me, he needs another hobby," Faith replied, glancing around.

"What makes you say that?" Angel asked, slightly amused.

"The house looks just like Sunnydale Library," Faith answered. "It brings back warm and fuzzies. Or not."

"How is the training?"

"I know the difference between the forks," she offered. "And today we're getting started on... something. I don't know."

"And how are you?" he pressed.

"Honestly? I'm exhausted," she told him. "Not just from the training, but from the last few months. I think when I get back I'm taking a holiday. I'm thinking something tropical."

"Florida?" Angel suggested. "It's always sunny."

"I said tropical, not geriatric," Faith said, rolling her eyes. "Maybe Hawaii. Or the Greek Isles, that'd be sweet. Or..."

"I'll look into it for you," he said. "Perhaps you and Tru could go away before she has to start thinking about school."

"That would be nice," she replied. "We haven't had much time together lately, and I worry about her."

"I've been watching over her," Angel said quietly. "She seems alright. A little withdrawn sometimes, like someone else I know."

Faith almost smiled. "Well, she is my daughter. Hey, did Gunn ever ask you about..."

The Vampire and the Slayer continued their discussion, racking up a large phone bill that Giles would probably not be pleased about.
