Bela sipped her martini as she lazed in a sun chair in a yellow sarong. It might have been November, but Miami was good for sunbathing any time of year.
"Do you think we should actually get some work done while we're here?" she turned to Gwen beside her, referring to their latest project.
"Personally I'd like to juat stay here all day."
Gwen
"Mmm," Gwen turned her head to look at Bela, opening her eyes under her designer sunglasses.
"Probably should. But I'm with you, this is too nice to leave just yet."
Bela
Bela put her glass aside and leant down to reach her handbag. Fishing around for her cell phone, she checked the time.
"Still, it's only two o'clock. We have three more hours untl sunset," she mused, leaning back and taking her drink again.
Gwen
Gwen sipped her martini, relaxing back against the sunchair.
"Think it'll take long? I mean, my time has lessened considerably now that I'm not doing everything myself. And the fact that I'm working with someone who knows what she's doing."
Bela
"Should be an easy in and out. It's not even really a two person job," Bela shrugged, closing her eyes.
"But at least the pay out's better for this one."
Gwen
"Yeah, that last one was a bit dodgy."
Gwen tucked some hair behind her ears.
Bela
"I swear, if I'd known the scoundrel was going to dip on the last fifteen grand, I would have told to just handle it himself. The nerve," Bela shuddered.
"Honestly, who does he think we are?"
Gwen
"Amateurs probably. He learnt his lesson though."
Gwen smiled slightly.
Bela
"Oh yes," Bela grinned, then chuckled lightly.
"That was fun."
Gwen
"Mmmm," Gwen hummed her agreement.
"Hopefully word will get out not to screw us over."
Bela
Bela shrugged a little. She went under so many different names that she assumed her clientelle never spoke.
"I assume so," she relented, sipping her drink again.
Gwen
"Hmm."
Gwen set her drink down and turned her face away from the harsh sun.
