Faith zipped the back of her dress up, glancing in the mirror and making a slight face at herself. She stepped into her shoes, and looked around for her cell phone.
"Hey," Angel said, poking his head into the room. "Look at you."
"Not a word," Faith said, shaking her head.
Angel smiled. "Car's here."
Sam
"You look fine," Sam insisted, walking over in his dress jeans and long sleeved shirt.
"And hey, if you hate it that much, just spill as much of whatever stains on it as possible."
Angel, Faith and Spike
"No," Angel said, looking at Sam. "Do you know how much that cost me?"
Faith grinned. "Come on."
~*~*~*~
"Sodding hell, what is taking Peaches so long?" Spike huffed, already sitting in the limo.
Sam & Dean
Sam held out his hand for hers.
~*~
"Probably up there oogling over Faith," Dean looked up at the building from the window, as if he were hoping to see a naked silhouette.
Angel, Faith, Spike, Cordy and Gunn
Angel hid his smile, leaving the room first.
Faith took Sam's hand, leaning into him as they walked out the door.
~*~*~*~
"Oh here we go," Spike said, glancing out the window. "Lovebirds alert. And Chuck, and the Princess and the Peach."
Cordy was walking alongside Angel, arm looped through his. "So, this is Lorne's new side project?"
Angel nodded. "Yeah, something to get him back to his first love, I think."
Gunn grinned. "I think it's awesome."
Dean & Sam
"That's Cordy?" Dean asked, staring at her.
Sam led Faith down the steps and to the limo door, waiting for her to get in before him.
Spike, Faith and Cordelia
Spike grinned and nodded. "Yep. See what I mean about the..."
Faith slid into the seat across from Spike and Dean, and she moved a little to make room for Sam.
"Princess!" Spike greeted Cordelia.
"Hey bunny," Cordelia replied, hopping into the limo.
Sam & Dean
Sam scooted in beside Faith, taking her hand into his again.
"Dean," he held his hand out to Cordelia, eyes a little lower than they should have been.
Cordelia, Gunn, Angel, Spike and Faith
"Ah, I've heard about you," Cordelia grinned, taking his hand. "I'm Cordelia."
Gunn chuckled, then closed the door behind him, once he and Angel were settled.
"Lorne is there, right?"
Angel nodded. "He said something about making cocktails."
"Oh knock it off, you two," Spike said to Faith and Sam, who were kissing again.
Dean & Sam
"Only good things I hope. Which means... I hope they weren't from Peaches," Dean grinned warmly.
Sam grinned mid-kiss at Spike, but otherwise ignored him as his other hand slid across her thigh.
Cordelia, Angel, Gunn, Spike and Faith
Cordy laughed. "It's been a mix."
Angel and Gunn were discussing Lorne's new business venture, while Spike wrinkled his nose up.
"Oi, Peaches, make them stop, I just had dinner," Spike said, making a face.
Faith laughed in Sam's mouth, wrapping her other arm around his neck.
Dean & Sam
"Well just so you know, when I'm bad? I'm really bad," Dean winked.
Sam finally pulled away and looked at Spike.
"Maybe you shouldn't have eaten," he teased.
Cordelia, Faith, Spike and Gunn
Cordelia leant forward a little, giving Dean more of a view down her dress. "I'll keep that in mind."
"Maybe you two could control yourselves," Spike nodded. "It's sickening."
Faith chuckled, and rested her head against Sam's shoulder.
"Hey Chuckles, no lady friend tonight?" she asked.
Gunn waved his hand. "Sorta. Meeting up with someone at Lorne's."
"Player!"
The pair bumped fists.
Dean & Sam
"You don't have to just keep it in mind," Dean offered.
"So where are we going, anyway?" Sam looked between Faith and Angel.
Cordelia, Angel, Faith and Gunn
Cordelia laughed flirtatiously. "We'll see how the night pans out then."
"Lorne's opened up a new club," Angel told Sam.
"Hey, Caritas 2?" Faith asked. "You're not gonna blow this one up, are ya?"
"That wasn't my fault!" Gunn protested.
Dean & Sam
"I could always ask them to pll over and let us out," Dean leered.
"Perils of the job, huh?" Sam looked between the group, amused.
Cordelia, Angel, Gunn and Faith
Cordelia lightly slapped Dean over the back of the head.
Angel nodded, a small grin appearing on his face. "Gunn had... some friend issues."
Gunn held his hands up. "Oh yeah, let's blame me, not the fact that I stopped hanging with my crew to hang with a vampire with a soul. Oh, and a demon, and a half demon."
Faith grinned.
"Yeah, don't get me started on you, Faith."
Dean & Sam
"Ooh, foreplay already," Dean teased.
"Should I even ask?" Sam raised an eyebrow.
Cordelia, Gunn, Angel, Spike and Faith
Cordelia grinned. "Yeah, you'd be very lucky."
Gunn shook his head. "My old crew was a bit... prejudiced about this group."
"Should I remind you that you tried to stake me the first time you met me?" Angel asked, looking amused.
"You're a vampire!"
"Hey!" Spike cut in.
"Was that offensive?" Faith asked. "Should we call you an Undead Brit?"
The car meanwhile, had pulled up outside a club.
Dean & Sam
"See? They heard me," Dean mused.
"I guess we're here," Sam leaned forward to see out the window, but Dean's head was in the way.
Lorne and Cordelia
The door opened and Lorne's green face greeted everyone in the car.
"Hello pumpkins," he said, smiling widely.
"Oh Lorneykins," Cordelia cooed as he heled her out of the limo. "This place is so great."
Lorne grinned at her. "Thank you, Princess."
Dean & Sam
Dean waited for Angl and Gunn to exit, before following her.
"Ready?" Sam smiled at Faith.
Faith, Gunn, Lorne, Spike and Cordelia
"Yeah," Faith said, smiling back at him. She took his hand as they exited the car.
"Red carpet treatment," Gunn grinned, looking down at the literal red carpet.
"Of course!" Lorne said, leading the way into the club.
"Hope you've got a fully stocked bar," Spike commented. "Coz if I have to watch anymore of the googily eyes, I'm gonna need to be drunk."
Cordelia turned to Dean and raised an eyebrow slightly.
Dean & Sam
Dean offered Cordelia his elbow as Sam pulled Faith from the limousine and looked up at the building.
Cordelia, Faith, Gunn and Angel
Cordelia took Dean's arm and walked with him into the building.
Faith smiled up at Sam. "Come on."
"Please, if you do, nothing long," Gunn was almost begging Angel.
"Well, I was thinking about 'Stairway to Heaven'," Angel joked.
"Don't you dare!" Cordelia said, overhearing.
Sam
"So it's... karaoke?" Sam looked down at Faith with an awkward expression.
Faith, Angel and Spike
"It's voluntary," Faith assured him. "Let's hope to God, Angel doesn't sing."
"I heard that!" Angel called back, as he settled down on one of the plush leather lounges.
"Peaches, I swear, if you sing a Manilow, I'll rip my own bleeding ears off," Spike said.
Sam & Dean
"That bad huh?" Sam smirked, looking between them.
Dean pulled Cordelia around to the other side of the lounge, closer to the stage.
Cordelia, Lorne and Faith
Cordelia accepted the drink Lorne handed her, then sat down, legs touching Dean's.
"Faith, honey?" Lorne asked, coming over. "Drink?"
"Um, if Sam lets me," Faith joked. "He thinks I'm still dying."
Sam
"I do not," Sam scorned, "just... be careful."
Faith, Spike, Angel and Lorne
Faith reached up to kiss Sam.
"Aw, knock it off!" Spike said again, settling down with his own alcohol.
Angel grinned, and sat down beside him, leaning back against the chair.
"Well," Lorne said, gesturing around. "I think we've got our first volunteer for the stage."
A shy looking blonde stepped up, blinking in the lights.
Dean & Sam
Dean ordered a drink and sat back to watch the blonde. Sam bit his lip as he pulled back from the kiss, amused at Spike's reaction.
Lorne, Spike, Angel and Faith
Lorne winced as the blonde hit a bad note. "Eesh."
Spike rolled his eyes. "The pair of you, yeah, you're not sickening or anything."
Angel slapped Spike's shoulder. "Leave them alone."
"Or what, you'll serenade me? Actually, that might just kill me," Spike snorted. "'Specially Mandy."
"Must just kill you that he's got a jonesing for the power ballads," Faith chuckled.
"Worst were the concerts," Spike huffed.
Sam
"Surely he's not that bad," Sam looked to Faith.
Faith and Spike
Faith just grinned at Sam, tongue poking out a little bit.
"Oh trust me," Spike groaned. "I spent one hundred years with that Nancy Boy."
Dean & Sam
Dean's hand had slowly worked its way onto Cordy's lap.
Sam barely heard what Spike had said before leaning in for another Faith kiss.
Cordelia, Angel, Gunn and Faith
Cordelia grinned and leaned in closer to Dean.
"Gunn," Angel grinned, saluting the lawyer. "Are we gonna get some Gilbert and Sullivan?"
Gunn chuckled. "You mean rap, right?"
Faith smiled slightly, kissing Sam back for a second before pulling away. "So, I'm guessing you're happy we're both all recovered?"
Sam & Dean
"Ecstatic," Sam grinned, leaning in to kiss her neck.
Dean smiled at Cordy's movement, his eyes still on the blonde. Oh yeah, he had this one in the bag.
Faith, Angel, Spike and Cordelia
Faith laughed, tilting her head slightly to allow him greater access.
"Spike's right, you know," Angel said, laughing. "You two are a bit sickening."
"Yes!" Spike pumped his fist. "I'm right!"
Cordy reached for her drink, casually taking a sip.
Sam & Dean
Sam took a few deep breaths before he gave her a hickey, then came up for air.
"Well," Dean spoke up, "blonde's out, who's up first?"
He raised his glass before taking a drink.
Spike and Lorne
"Ugh," Spike said, wrinkling his nose up. "I can smell that. That is disgusting. Dean, put a leash on your brother."
Lorne chuckled, and looked at the group. "Come on, kids."
Den & Sam
"Hey, not my problem," Dean shrugged, putting his beer glass down.
"Spike, wanna duet? Come on, Eye Of The Tiger!"
Sam just giggled, his eyes still on Faith.
Spike, Angel, Gunn and Faith
"Heck yeah!" Spike jumped to his feet, and headed for the stage.
"He's right again," Angel said, moving a little further away. "It is a very strong smell."
"Thank God I'm not a vampire," Gunn commented.
Faith laughed, tucking some hair behind her ears as she watched Dean and Spike do their secret handshake on stage.
"What was that?" Angel asked.
"It was Spike proving that apparently, you can be a dork in public too," Faith replied, turning to the side and hooking her legs over Sam's lap.
Dean & Sam
Dean introduced them before the song launched.
"Rising UP, back on the streeeeeeet. Did my time took my chANces..."
Sam slid one hand over her lap, the other slipping around the back of her neck as he leant in to kiss her thoat again.
Spike and Faith
"Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet! Just a man and his will to survive..." Spike sang.
"Hey mate?" a security guard came over to Faith and Sam and tapped Sam on the shoulder. "No feeding in here. Read the sign."
Faith snickered.
Sam & Dean
Sam just stared up at the guard, blankly.
"So many tiiiiiiiimes, it happens too faaaaaaaast...you trade your passion for GLORY!" Dean headbanged.
Faith and Spike
Faith laughed and pushed herself away from Sam slightly.
"Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past, you must fiiiight just to keep them alive!" Spike grinned at Dean.
Dean & Sam
"It's the, EYE OF THE TIGER it's the thrill of the FIGHT!" Dean's voice cracked as he yelled the words.
Sam's eyebrows rose, before he clicked what company he was with.
"Oh, I'm not a vampire," he assured the guard, leaving an arm around Faith's wait so she couldn't get too far.
Spike and Faith
"Rising UP to the challenge of our RIVAL!" Spike yelled along with Dean.
"Well, alright," the security guard said. "But tone it down."
Faith grinned and disentangled herself from Sam's arms, getting up to head to the bar.
Dean & Sam
"And the last known surviiiiiiiiivor stalks his prey in the night," Dean made his voice creepily raspy for that line.
Sam watched Faith get up, a little worried he might have offended her somehow.
Spike, Lorne and Faith
"And he's watching us aaaallllllll with the eye of the tiiiiger!" Spike sang, voice perfectly matched.
Lorne grinned at Faith as she approached. "Well."
Faith laughed and ordered a beer for Sam and a vodka mix for herself.
"Honey, I don't think you want to give that boy alcohol," Lorne advised.
"Oh, he's fine," Faith said, waving her hand dismissively. She glanced back over at Sam and smiled.
"Trust me," Lorne said, shaking his head. "What I'm picking up off him? He's going to drag you off to the bathroom in a minute."
Faith laughed. "It's been awhile, is all."
Lorne handed her the keys to his office. "Don't say I never do anything for you."
Sam
Sam looked over at Angel, talking to Gunn, then spotted Cordelia on the other side of them.
"Hey," he greeted, leaning forward so she could hear him over the... wailing.
"I'm Sam," he introduced himself.
Cordelia
"Yeah, Faith's boy," Cordelia grinned. "I'm Cordy."
She glanced at the stage.
"Your brother is... enthusiastic."
Sam & Dean
"I noticed," Sam nodded, "and he's not even drunk."
He stopped to watch Dean and Spike for a moment, before glancing back over at Faith and Lorne.
"Don't let him take advantage of you or anything, ok?" he felt fit to warn her.
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia laughed. "I'm the biggest bitch from Sunnydale, I think your brother had better look out for me."
Faith came back over to the lounge with two drinks. She set the beer in front of Sam, and then discreetly wiggled the keys in her hand, grinning.
Sam
Sam raised his eyebrows as he picked up the beer.
'Now?' he mouthed.
Faith and Lorne
Faith grinned and nodded slightly.
'Why not?' she mouthed back.
She stood slowly, and was just about to lead the way when Lorne grabbed her arm gently.
"First, a song, honey," he insisted. "Because Dean and Spike are scaring the patrons."
Sam & Dean
Sam got up behind her, eyebrows raising when Lorne took her arm.
Dean, meanwhile, was air drumming the bridge.
Faith, Lorne and Spike
"Really?" Faith looked at Lorne with pleading eyes. "But no one wants to hear that."
"Nonsense," Lorne said, shaking his head. "You've got a lovely voice."
"Noooooo. But Saaaaaaaam," Faith whined playfully.
Spike was air guitaring next to Dean.
Sam & Dean
Sam looked up at the spectacle onstage.
"He does have a point," Sam shrugged, "I can see people coverng their ears and gagging."
Faith and Lorne
"Alright, but Sam? You tease me after this? And you'll pay for it, I promise."
Faith grinned slightly, then headed for the stage.
Lorne chuckled.
Sam & Dean
Sam raised an eyebrow at Lorne.
"You've heard her sing?" he asked.
Dean meanwhile had started singing - nay, yelling - along again when he noticed Faith heading for the stage and grabbed hold of his microphone a little tighter.
Lorne, Gunn, Faith and Spike
Lorne nodded at Sam. "Yeah, it;s quite surprising."
Gunn gave a slightly tipsy thumbs up from his seat, and Faith flipped him the bird in return.
Spike nudged Dean and gestured to get off.
'This will be good,' he mouthed.
Dean & Sam
"Dude, the song's not over!" Dean said reluctantly.
"GET OFF!" Sam yelled, encouraging the audience to do the same.
Spike, Angel and Faith
"Sod off!" Spike said to the crowd, then turned to Dean. "I think we make a fine air band, personally."
He turned from the stage.
Angel came up next to Faith. "Lorne rope you into this?"
Faith made an exaggerated sad face. "Yes. And Sam and I were just about to get to the good stuff."
"Ugh," Angel shook his head. "I so didn't hear that."
"Yeah you did."
Dean & Sam
Dean took an elaborate bow, the microphone going flying in the process. He jumped from the stage instead of using the stairs, continued to thank the - still yelling - crowd, and returned to his seat beside Cordy.
Sam took a deep breath and waited.
Faith, Spike, Lorne, Angel and Gunn
Faith mimed slitting Lorne's throat as she got up on stage, half snatching the microphone from Spike, who was chuckling to himself.
Lorne jabbed a few buttons in the karaoke machine, and Angel watched on, an amused expression on his face.
Faith rolled her eyes slightly, hearing the song that had started to play.
"I can feel his heart beat from a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time he smiles
And I'm running to him, that's where I belong
I'm running to him like a river's song..."
Gunn looked at Angel with raised eyebrows.
Sam & Dean
Sam smiled and folded his arms as she sang, feeling almost like a proud parent.
Dean's eyebrows rose.
"Crap song, but she doesn't sound too bad," he glanced back at his company.
Spike, Faith, Angel and Lorne
Spike's mouth was open slightly. "Seriously? I was thinking she'd be terrible. Damn."
"He's got a fine sense of humour when I'm feeling down
And I'm running to him when the sun goes down
He takes away my trouble, he takes away my grief
He takes away my heartache and I go right to sleep..." Faith
avoided looking at Sam.
Angel grinned, glancing at Lorne, who was smiling and watching her intently.
Sam & Dean
It didn't take Sam long to notice that Faith was avoiding making eye contact, and he chuckled lightly.
"Guess she really does have quite a few secrets left up her sleeve, huh?" Dean glanced at Spike with a grin.
Faith and Spike
"Love love love love crazy love..."
Faith breathed a sigh of relief when it was over, and got off the stage as quickly as she could.
Spike chuckled. "Yeah, apparently so. Man. It sorta makes me wanna do her."
Dean & Sam
"You always wanna do her," Dean teased.
Sam stepped up to her and put his arm around her shoulders.
"You did great," he kissed her forehead.
Spike and Faith
Spike grinned. "Yeah. But that is a rack to write home about, mate."
"We don't ever speak about it again," Faith said, nodding. She reached up to kiss him.
"Now... we were going somewhere before that interruption."
Sam & Dean
"Yes we were," Sam grinned, pulling her along in the direction they'd been heading.
"I guess Sammy's the one doing her tonight," Dean toasted in the couple's direction before downing his beer.
Faith and Spike
Faith laughed, and unlocked Lorne's office, before grabbing Sam by the shirt and pulling him inside.
"Isn't he always?" Spike chuckled. He took a swig of his beer. "But let them have at it then."
Dean
"I don't suppose you feel like joining me in a back room?" Dean turned to Cordelia.
Cordelia
Cordelia laughed.
"No, sorry, I'm not as easy as Faith."
Dean
"Who said I thought that?" Dean looked shocked.
"It would be purely for educational purposes."
Cordelia
Cordelia raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow.
"I'm sure."
Dean & Sam
"Cross my heart and not hoping to return to Hell," Dean smiled, hand to his chest.
~*~
Almost a half hour later, the office door opened and Faith and Sam emerged. Sam was pulling his shirt over his wifebeater before running his hand through to fix his hair.
"Wow. I thought they'd taken off by now," Dean's eyebrows rose at the sight.
Cordelia, Faith, Lorne and Angel
"Ugh," Cordelia wrinkled her nose up. "Faith's room is right next to mine. God, I hope that doesn't go on all night. Let's hope it's all out of their systems."
Faith tossed her hair over her shoulders as she left, grinning faintly.
"Maybe that was a bad idea," Lorne said to Angel. "I'm going to be finding underwear in there, aren't I?"
Angel chuckled.
Sam & Dean
Sam smiled as he returned to the party, sliding into his seat and pulling Faith down onto his lap.
"Have fun?" Dean smirked, eyebrow raised.
"Shut up," Sam blushed a little.
Faith
Faith laughed and leaned back against Sam's chest.
"Aww, you're so cute when you're embarrassed," she teased.
Sam
"And you're just cute full stop," Sam grinned, kissing her on the neck again.
Faith and Spike
Faith laughed and turned her head to kiss him properly.
"Get a room," Spike commented, coming back with another drink for himself and one for Dean. "Oh wait, you just did that."
Sam & Dean
"Mmm," Sam pulled back a little, "I don't know about you, but I could sure go another round."
"Wait. Since when did you become me?" Dean demanded, slapping his hand on the table.
Faith and Spike
Faith laughed and ran her hand through his hair. "Maybe give me a few minutes. Even with enhanced healing... I'm a little... sore."
"Ugh, so did not hear that," Spike said, sitting down.
Dean & Sam
"Neither did I," Dean turned away, disgusted.
"Are you sure?" Sam leant his forehead against hers with a small pout.
Faith and Spike
"Aww," Faith teased, kissing his pout softly. "Give me five minutes. Then you may do with me what you wish."
"Sickening," Spike said again, shaking his head. "The two of you should just get married already. Have a million sickeningly cute children."
"Is this your way of saying that you think Sam and I are cute?" Faith grinned.
"No."
Sam & Dean
"Fine," Sam sighed, looking up as Dean got out of his seat.
"I'll grab another beer if you're headed for the bar."
Dean's eyes shited and he raised an eyebrow.
"You've already had one."
"So?" Sam frowned.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," Dean raised his hands in surrender, and heading for the bar.
Faith and Spike
"Yeah, you're so hard done by," Faith teased, brushing her lips against Sam's. "Poor boy. You never get sex. Never."
"You'd think so, with the way you two are going at it tonight," Spike commented.
Sam
"It's been a long time," Sam defended.
"Can you blame me?"
Faith
Faith laughed and shook her head.
"Well, no, I missed it too. But I thought you were all content with just the spooning."
Sam
"We're talking a whole month's worth of sexual tension here," Sam pointed out.
Spike and Faith
"Why didn't you just... do it yourself?" Spike asked, raising an eyebrow as he overheard the last bit of their conversation.
Faith grinned and nuzzled into the side of Sam's neck.
Sam & Dean
"I repeat can you blame me?" Sam grinned, running his fingers through her hair.
Dean returned with their beers, putting one on the table in front of Sam and taking his back to Cordelia.
"Thanks," Sam toasted him before gulping some down.
Faith and Cordelia
"Am I gonna have to carry you out of here, Sammich?" Faith asked, before leaning down and kissing his neck.
Cordelia looked up as Dean came back next to her.
"Your brother always like that?"
Sam & Dean
"Guess we'll find out," Sam grinned, drinking some more.
"Nope, it's all her fault," Dean nodded to Faith as he sat down.
Faith and Cordelia
Faith laughed and kissed his throat, teeth nipping slightly.
"Figures," Cordelia commented. "Faith's built to do that. She's te do-that girl."
Dean
"And don't forget 'this'," Dean agreed, taking another gulp of his beer.
"Not just 'that'."
Cordelia and Lorne
"Oh don't tell me," Cordelia said, making a face. "You haven't been with her too, have you?"
Lorne had finally convinced Gunn to get up and sing.
Dean
"Hell yeah," Dean grinned, then hesitated when he thought how that might sound.
"I mean, not for a long time but. She's his now."
Gunn, Faith, Angel and Cordelia
Suitably drunk enough, Gunn was onstage singing.
"Three little maids who, all unwary
Come from a ladies' seminary
Freed from its genius tutelary
Three little maids from school
Three little maids from school..."
Faith giggled, looking up from her assault on Sam's neck.
Angel caught her eye and they both cracked up.
"She's his?" Cordy raised an eyebrow. "Ok."
Dean
"What, you hadn't noticed?" Dean smirked.
Cordelia
"Oh, I'd noticed, I just didn't realise how serious that was."
Cordelia shrugged.
"I haven't seen her serious with anyone. Even after she slept with my ex boyfriend. Well, we were broken up at the time. But whatever!"
Dean
"Well you know, the newly disengaged are some of the easiest to nab," Dean shrugged, drinking again.
"But yeah, they're serious. Have been for a while now."
Cordelia
"Well, that's just... weird."
Cordelia shrugged.
"Plus, he's getting pretty tanked."
She indicated Sam.
Dean & Sam
"Watch him," Dean said softly, "three is all it takes. Two down, one to go."
Sam meanwhile had started giggling inexplicably.
Faith and Cordelia
Faith grinned and leaned in to kiss Sam's forehead.
"So cute when you're drunk."
"Really? That cheap?" Cordelia laughed.
Dean & Sam
"Afraid so," Dean grinned, raising his glass to toast his brother.
Sam saw him and did the same, almost spilling it.
"I'm not drunk," he then said indignantly, looking at Faith.
Faith and Cordelia
Faith snickered.
"Alright, but if you're going to continue that line of denial, no more sex for you, buddy."
Cordelia grinned. "That's... kind of amazing, considering his size."
Dean & Sam
"You'd think so, wouldn't you?" Dean agreed.
"Fine," Sam pouted, putting down his empty beer glass.
"But that means you better get me another one."
"And here we go," Dean snapped his fingers.
Faith, Angel and Cordelia
Faith grinned and hopped off his lap, heading over to the bar, where Angel was standing.
"He's toasted," she laughed, ordering another beer.
"And you're encouraging more drinking?" Angel asked, smiling.
"Well yeah. I'm responsible like that."
Cordelia laughed and leaned back in the chair.
"Are we gonna get Sam up there then?"
Dean
"You know," Dean grinned, "I would not be at all surprised. You should have seen the kid in high school."
Cordelia and Faith
Cordelia glanced at Sam. "What do you mean?"
Faith sat down next to Sam and handed him the beer.
Dean & Sam
"Let's just say, an older family member took advantage of his alcohol-fuelled baby brother a few times too often," Dean mused.
Sam took the beer and gulped half of it down, as if he'd been running a marathon.
Cordelia and Faith
"So glad I was an only child," Cordelia commented.
Faith kissed Sam's cheek, then got up to go talk to Gunn, who was struggling to come to terms with the fact he'd sung Gilbert and Sullivan. In public.
Dean
"It's not all that bad," Dean said to Cordy.
"You've always got someone to depend on at least."
He downed the rest of his beer, glanced towards Sam's seat... and looked around confused.
"Where'd he go?"
Cordelia and Faith
"Mmm?" Cordelia turned and raised her eyebrows. "Hmm, that's probably not good."
Faith glanced around and didn't see Sam. She let her eyes scan the room.
Sam & Dean
"HIT IT!" Sam's voice bellowed as the karaoke machine started up.
"Uh oh," Dean dropped his beer glass and rose to his feet.
The opening guitar to Paradise City rocked the building and Sam started headbanging.
"Take me down to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty! TAKE. ME. HOOOOOOOME! YA YA!"
Dean sighed, covering his eyes with his hand.
Faith and Angel
Faith turned in surprise to the stage, her smile growing wider as she watched.
"You had to give him that third beer," Angel chuckled.
Dean & Sam
Dean sank down into his chair with a groan, watching between split fingers grudgingly.
"Just an urchin livin' under the street
I'm a hard case that's tough to beat
I'm your charity case
So by me somethin' to eat
I'll pay you at another time
Take it to the end of the LINE!"
Faith and Angel
Faith watched in disbelief, snickering slightly.
"Aren't you going to stop him?" Angel asked.
"Angel, the guy is a tank. If I try, he's likely to smack me."
Dean & Sam
"Please God let this be over," Dean murmured, still watching from between his fingers.
"When it's just a game
You treat it like a capitol crime
Everybody doin' their time..."
Faith
"I should probably stop him," Faith said, looking at the stage. "Otherwise he'll regret it in the morning."
"He's already going to," Gunn commented.
Sam
"Take me down to the Paradise City
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Oh, won't you please take me HOOOOOOOOOME!
I want to GO
I want to KNOW
Oh, won't you please take me HOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!"
Sam finished the song and took a staggering bow.
Faith
"Think that's my cue to get him, excuse me," Faith said.
She started for the stage.
> Dean & Sam
"Thank God it's over," Dean breathed, watchingFaith go up to retrieve him.
"And now, who likes BON JOVI?" Sam grinned, cueing the music.
"Oh no."
"Tommy used to work on the docks
Unions been on strike
Hes down on his luck - its tough, so toooooooough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for LOOOOOOVE!"
Faith
Faith climbed up on stage and took Sam's arm.
"Alright superstar, let's go."
Sam
"But they love me!" Sam pulled away.
"OHHHHHHHHHH we're halfway there! WHOOOOO-OOOOOHHHHH LIVIN' ON A PRAYERRRRRRRR!"
Faith
Faith grabbed his arm firmly, and pulled him from the microphone.
"Come on, honey."
Sam
"NO!" Sam cried, reaching for it as if it would save his life.
Reluctantly he let her pull him down, collapsing in a heap on the nearest chair from the stage.
