Dean walked through the lobby of Wolfram & Hart, heading for his guest quarters where he dropped off his things. Looked like they'd be here for another while. With a sigh he flipped out his phone and called Sam.
"Hey Dean."
"I'm here. Where are you?"
"Hospital wing. She's asleep, so be quiet when you get here."
Sam gave him the directions, and they hung up. A few minutes later, Dean showed up at the door.
"Hey," Sam greeted, getting up and walking over.
"How is she?" Dean nodded to Faith.
"Great, she's going great."
"And you?" Dean raised an eyebrow, "what did they do to you again?"
Sam rolled his eyes and lifted his shirt to show Dean where his stab wound had been.
"...Wow."
"Yeah," Sam smiled, "like it never happened. It's weird."
"But no like it hasn't happened before," Dean pointed out.
"Yeah but last time I wasn't feeling the pain for weeks either," Sam retaliated.
"Touche."
Spike
Spike strode down the hallway to Faith's room, nodding at Dean and Sam.
"She up?"
Sam & Dean
"Not yet, but I think soon," Sam nodded, hands on his hips.
"Hey Spikey," Dean grinned.
Spike and Faith
"Kiwi!" Spike held his hand out for Dean.
Faith stirred slightly.
Sam & Dean
For the first time, Sam was witness to Dean and Spike's secret handshake. He laughed.
"You guys are kidding, right?" his eyebrows rose.
Spike
"You're just jealous you're not one of us cool guys," Spike told him, shrugging.
He held out his fist to pump Dean's.
Dean & Sam
And Dean responded in time.
Sam shook his head and walked back into the room.
"Whatever."
He took the seat by Faith's bedside, noticing her stirring a little.
"Definitely jealous," Dean winked at Spike.
Faith and Spike
Faith opened her eyes slowly, turning and seeing Sam.
"Hi you," she yawned.
Spike grinned, then glanced in the room.
"Should I give them privac - oh Hell, when have I ever cared?"
Dean & Sam
"They don't get privacy now that I'm back," Dean grinned, before walking in behind his brother.
"Hi," Sam grinned, taking her hand again.
"Howdy there," Dean greeted, suddenly in her line of view, "how you feeling?"
Faith and Spike
Faith squeezed Sam's hand softly, then looked over at Dean, an amused smirk playing over her features.
"I'm alright. Oh, and I got your stupid pie."
Spike snickered.
Dean & Sam
"Sorry princess, if it's not in my mouth it doesn't count," Dean pointed out.
"It's probably still at the bottom of the river if you want to get it," Sam mused.
Spike and Faith
"How're you feeling, ducks?" Spike asked, taking a place on the other side of the bed. "Had us worried for a while there. Thought old Peaches was going to throw in the towel for a moment."
He chuckled slightly.
"I'm ok," Faith replied, glancing at him. "Would be out of hospital already if someone wasn't such a worrier."
Sam & Dean
"I just don't want you getting back on the horse too soon," Sam insisted.
"Now that's dirty," Dean nodded, turning to Spike, "he just doesn't wnt her to get hurt when they finally get back to the horizontal bop."
Spike and Faith
"Oh, this one likes it to hurt, don't ya, pet?" Spike leered suggestively.
"I'm ignoring that," Faith replied.
"I remember a time when you would've just punched me. You've gone soft," Spike told her. "I blame Pip."
He nodded towards Sam.
Sam & Dean
"You know, you two can leave anytime you feel like," Sam joked, "don't let us keep you from making up more secret handshakes."
He urned back to Faith.
"And yeah, they did."
"And it's awesome," Dean chuckled.
Faith and Spike
"Really?" Faith raised an eyebrow, looking at Spike. "Seriously?"
"Hell yeah," Spike grinned. "We're a club. A cool guy club. You can only join if you're a cool guy. Although, we're not really recruiting. No one will ever be as cool as the two of us."
"Cool, or lame?" Faith asked.
"If the puppy wasn't here, I would've punched you just then."
Dean & Sam
"Yeah, I wouldn't," Dean agreed.
"Lame," Sam agreed wholeheartedly.
Spike and Faith
"Yeah, you're both violent and unpredictable," Spike said, pointing to Sam and Faith.
Faith smiled slightly. "Thanks, I guess."
"You're welcome. Anyway, ducks, I only came up here to warn you," Spike replied.
"Warn me?"
Spike snickered. "Princess Cordy thinks she doesn't have enough work around the place, so Peaches is letting her take on a new role. And she's starting with you."
"Why do I suddenly feel like I should've stayed dead?"
"Yeah," Spike grinned. "Cordy is your personal stylist, pet. She's currently out buying you a new wardrobe."
"No, what? Where's Angel? Tell him to stop her!"
Sam & Dean
"Well you could use some more clothes, we've hd to throwaway a lot lately," Sam pointed out.
"Who's Cordy?" Dean looked to Spike.
Faith and Spike
Faith made a face.
"Hmmph. She's going to put me in skirts. And dresses. I guarantee it."
Spike chuckled.
"Ah, you'll like her."
He motioned a large chest.
Dean & Sam
Dean nodded appreciatively.
"I take it she doesn't know you that well?" Sam's eyebrows rose.
Faith and Spike
"No, she knows," Faith said to Sam. "She just... lives to torture me, I think."
"I think Angel set some ground rules, pet," Spike cut in. "Although, she is refusing leather."
Dean & Sam
"Are you sure I'll like her?" Dean was suddenly skeptical.
"Here's hoping for jeans," Sam shrugged, "I could always stop her on the way in if you'd like. And check."
Spike and Faith
Spike chuckled. "Princess is alright, if you're just having a peek."
"It's ok," Faith said to Sam. "I'm sure it'll be alright. If not... I'll just be naked."
"Yes please," Spike grinned.
Dean & Sam
"Oh God yes," Dean agreed with a serious nod.
"Are you sure?" Sam asked.
Spike and Faith
Spike grinned at Dean.
"Yeah," Faith said, tugging on Sam's shirt to bring him closer so she could kiss him.
"Ugh, the pair of you," Spike said, rolling his eyes. "Making your googily eyes at each other."
Dean & Sam
"Sickening, isn't it?" Dean was pulling a disgusted face.
Sam chuckled into the kiss, but didn't pull back.
"Whatever. I know when I'm not wanted. Hey Spike, wanna go annoy Peaches?"
Spike and Faith
"Yes, I would," Spike grinned. "Leave these losers to themselves."
Faith grinned at that, pulling Sam a little closer.
Dean & Sam
Dean turned to leave the room.
"Don't forget Sammy, no hanky panky 'til she's healthy," he called over his shoulder.
Without looking up, Sam gave him the finger.
Spike and Faith
"Ugh," Spike said, as he and Dean left. "Are they always like that?"
Faith pulled away from Sam gently.
"So, what are your plans for today? And don't tell me you're going to stay with me."
Sam
Sam hesitated with his moth open, then shut his jaw.
"Then no plans?" he looked sheepish.
Faith
Faith smiled, shaking her head.
"Sam, it's a nice day out. Go... out and... do guy things."
Sam
"Like what?" Sam challenged.
"What would I do?"
Faith
"I don't know, what do guys do?"
Faith shrugged.
"I just feel bad that you're all cooped up here with me. You could head down to the pier. Get some cotton candy."
Sam
"I think I'd rather be here," Sam said insistantly.
"At least I won't get lost. LA's a big place and Dean's always done the driving." P>
Faith
"I think you just like spending time with me," Faith teased.
She squeezed his hand.
Sam
"Guilty," Sam nodded, kissing her hand gently.
