We Share The Same Space

Written by Nessa

Ty and Faith

Ty looked towards the door as Faith, Sam and Dean entered. He paused from setting up the instruments with his band to watch them, eyes following them discreetly as they made their way over to a table.

~*~*~*~

Faith sat down next to Sam, glancing around the room and for a second, her eyes caught Ty's. She looked away, thinking nothing of it, and returned her attention to the conversation at hand.

Dean & Sam

"Seriously. And it stank too. Especially when we torched the sucker," Dean was explaining one of their recent endeavours.

"Enough about corpses when we're about to eat, k?" Sam's eyebrows rose.

Faith and Ty

Faith grinned.

"Seriously though, with what we do, does it honestly put us off eating?"

~*~*~*~

Ty turned to his band to help them with the last few finishing touches.

Dean & Sam

"True," Dean nodded.

"And by the way, who torched him?" Sam pointed out.

"You weren't going to," Dean looked innocent.

"But I did."

"Are we ready to order?" Dean looked to Faith.

Faith and Ty

"Yeah."

Faith glanced around again, and again, her eyes met Ty's. They looked at each other for a few good seconds, before both looking away.

She shook her head.

"Yeah, ready."

Dean & Sam

Dean called a barmaid over and placed their orders, and she soon returned with beers for the boys and a spirit for Faith.

"You should have seen the way this guy chowed down, man," Dean took a sip, "especially on the raw liver."

"Dean, gross," Sam threw a peanut from the table at him.

"You saw it!"

Ty and Faith

"Hi, we're Nothing Doing, and we hope you enjoy the show," Ty said, sitting down on his stool with his guitar.

Faith's eyes drifted to the stage.

"Even though you passed me by
I still hold onto the light in your eyes
And this rose in my room
Doesn't grow, never will
And you're in my head, and you're in my head..."

His eyes locked onto Faith's, green meeting brown.

Dean & Sam

"Enjoy the show," Dean smirked, "play me some Boston and maybe."

Sam looked up as their food arrived, and waited as it was distributed.

"I don't think they're a house band Dean," he mused.

"So? Every band's gotta have good covers. Anyway I didn't come here for the entertainment. Well... depending what you consider entertainment."

"You're joking."

"Nope," Dean took a big bite of his burger, "her name's Callie."

"You're unbelievable."

Ty and Faith

Ty smiled, an almost intimate smile for Faith, as he sang, his eyes never leaving hers.

"We share the same space
We are the same, so I
Don't understand why things are this way
Two people forced to turn their backs and walk away
Cause they could not communicate how much they wanna stay..."

Faith absently picked up her fork, and held it poised above her plate for a good few seconds, unable to tear her eyes away from Ty's. It was almost like a silent understanding.

Sam & Dean

Sam saw Faith staring, and tilted his head a little.

"Faith," he got her attention, "recognise someone?"

Dean raised an eyebrow, still chewing his second bite of burger.

Faith and Ty

"Hmm?" Faith looked at Sam, almost glad for the break from Ty's gaze. "No, never seen them before."

She turned her focus on her food, but she could feel Ty watching her from the stage.

Sam & Dean

"You were staring pretty intently, does he look like someone?" Sam looked up at the singer.

"Looks a bit like that Lindsey dude," Dean pointed out between mouthfuls.

Faith and Ty

"Yeah, he does a little," Faith said, shrugging. "No, I don't know. He's got... really intense eyes."

"From the moment we met
Until the day I let it go
You brought out a shine
On the death-row chambers floor
And although we're apart
My heart is with you
My heart is with you
My heart is with you..."

Ty kept his eyes on Faith and grinned at her when she glanced his way again.

Dean & Sam

Dean's eyebrows rose, and he turned his head to stare at Sam.

Sam watched the singer, wondering if the younger man thought he somehow knew Faith.

"Hadn't noticed," Dean suddenly broke the awkward silence between the trio as he got back to eating.

Ty and Faith

"Could not communicate how much they want to stay..."

The band finished their first song, and Ty jumped offstage to head to the bar while the band played another song without him.

He leant casually against it, discreetly watching Dean, Sam and Faith at the table.

Faith was able to concentrate more on the conversation at the table now that she could no longer feel Ty's eyes on her.

She looked over at Sam and smiled slightly, before refocusing on her food.

Sam & Dean

Sam watched Faith curiously, as he started eating his own meal.

"So are we hitting up Townsend's tonight? Or can we actually have a night off for once?" Dean was looking straight at Sam.

Sam shrugged.

"I was going to, but now I'm not so sure. I'm pretty tired from today."

"And you're not the only one," Dean was suddenly a lot happier, "what he hell kind of time is 6am anyway? Don't you dare wake me up that early tomorrow."

Faith and Ty

"You ok?" Faith asked, looking at Sam with concern in her eyes.

"Stitches?"

Ty had turned his attention to a pretty girl in the corner, and was trying to get a read on what he could sense about her.

Looks like he was having a late night.

"Thanks," he said, smiling charmingly at the bartender, before heading back up to the stage.

Sam & Dean

"No, no," Sam assured, absently rubbing his abdomen, "just tired. I guess I'm not completely recovered is all."

"No s*** Sherlock," Dean rolled his eyes, taking a swig of his beer.

Faith and Ty

"Do you want me to rub your belly later?" Faith asked Sam. "He likes it when I... stop talking."

Ty watched the trio at the table carefully, mind ticking over as he played his guitar. He was slowly starting to work out their body language.

Dean & Sam

Dean broke into chuckles, which soon turned into laughter.

"Shut up," Sam scorned, "and no, it's ok. Really. I just need the rest."

"I'm sorry," Dean laughed, "no wait, I'm really not. Really. What the hell>?"

Faith and Ty

"Ok," Faith said, sliding a hand over Sam's knee lightly.

"Let me know if you need anything, ok?"

Ty nodded slightly, finally working out what was going on at the table.

Sam and Faith.

Although, there was some sexual tension between Dean and Faith too.

Dean & Sam

" should hve gotten that on camera," Dean was slapping his knee, still laughing.

"Dean, enough already," Sam rolled his eyes.

"Oh no, no it isn't. I think I'm oing to start calling you Buddha. Ha!"

Faith and Ty

Faith glanced at Sam, but without looking at Dean, she managed to smack him over the back of the head.

Ty raised his eyebrows slightly.

Dean & Sam

"Hey!" Dean scolded, picking up one of the peanuts and throwing it at her.

Sam just grinned, and leant over to kiss her.

Faith and Ty

Faith moved forward to receive the kiss, one hand still on Sam's knee, the other slid around his neck gently.

Ty watched the three, careful not to let them know he was watching.

Now to separate them all.

Dean & Sam

"Whatever lovebirds," Dean almost snorted, getting up and grabbing his empty plate, "I've got somebody more easy on the eye to spend time with."

Sam pulled away from Faith, an amused grin on his face, "you go do that."

Dean headed up to the bar and hit up the blonde barmaid again, ordering himself some shots.

Faith and Ty

"I think I'm easier on the eye than she is," Faith mused.

She forked a piece of carrot from Sam's plate and popped it into her mouth, chewing and swallowing thoughtfully.

~*~*~*~

Ty put his guitar to the side when they finished playing the song, then jumped off the stage and headed over to the bar, seating himself a few stools away from Dean.

Dean & Sam

Dean looked up seeing Ty out the corner of his eye. Pretty boy musician looked like he'd never worked a full day in his life...

"Hey Callie!" Dean called, "another round of your specialty!"

~*~

"I do too, but I could be biased," Sam mused, glancing over to the bar.

Faith and Ty

"Yeah, if you'd disagreed, you could've looked forward to a long time without Faith kissing. Or Faith touching."

Faith nodded.

"Cold turkey."

~*~*~*~

Ty took a swig of his beer, watching Dean discreetly, his own powers focusing in to see if there was anything special about Dean.

Hmmm. Maybe a little.

Sam & Dean

"I could never disagree with that," Sam mused, staring toward her eyes.

"It's not in my heart."

~*~

Dean took the shots, shaking his head after each one as Callie leant over the counter in front of him exposing her... assets.

"Those are good, what the heck are they?" Dean raised his eyebrows, putting the glasses back down in front of her.

"It's more fun if you don't know, right?" Callie winked, leaving to fetch some more.

Faith and Ty

Faith looked away, blushing slightly.

"Shut up."

~*~*~*~

"That good?" Ty called to Dean, looking amused.

Dean & Sam

"She's wild man, try it!" Dean pointed at Callie as she walked back over, grinning from ear to ear.

"Round two," Callie bit her lip seductively, "my guess is you won't make it to round three."

"We'll soon see," Dean winked, downing the first one.

~*~

"Sorry, can't," Sam teased with a cheeky grin.

Faith and Ty

"Think I could make you."

Faith grabbed Sam by the collar and kissed him.

~*~*~*~

Ty laughed.

"I'll have what he's having!" he called.

"Sure thing, honey," she replied, going to make the shots.

Dean & Sam

"Are you even of legal drinking age?" Dean raised an eyebrow, "hey, Callie! Check him for ID first!"

"He's right, gotta check," Callie leant over the bar in front of Ty teasingly.

Dean downed the second of the three shots, shaking his head again when he was done and licking salt from his lips.

~*~

Sam grinned into the kiss, giving back as much as he was getting.

Ty and Faith

Ty laughed good naturedly, pulling his ID out.

"Do I check out?" he grinned.

"Well, look at that, cutie," Callie said, setting a shot down in front of him. "You do."

~*~*~*~

Faith broke the kiss off and slipped into Sam's lap.

"So, what are our plans?"

Dean & Sam

"You'd better prepare yourself," Dean smirked, burping before he downed the third one.

He slammed the glass on the counter and looked up for Callie.

"Round three!"

~*~

Sam winced as she got onto his lap, feeling he stitches pulling.

He slid his hands around her waist and leant his chin on her shoulder.

"I don't know, but I could go for some sleep."

Ty and Faith

"You'd be surprised," Ty called to Dean.

He slammed the shot down without flinching.

~*~*~*~

"Oh, sorry, did I hurt you?"

Faith turned worried eyes onto Sam, running a hand through his hair gently.

Dean & Sam

"Only eight more to go," Dean smirked at him as Callie lined up his final three.

"You'll be talking to angels by the time you're through these," she teased.

"Oh I hope not," Dean grunted, having instantly thought of Castiel.

He took the first shot, baulking a little after it.

~*~

"No, no," Sam lied awkwardly, "it's just bruises, really."

Ty and Faith

"Bring it on then," Ty grinned.

He signalled to Callie, then slammed down his next few shots, still with no reaction.

~*~*~*~

"Liar."

Faith made a move to get off Sam's lap.

"Come on, Pip, let's get you back to bed."

Dean & Sam

Dean raised an eyebrow at the musician's ability to down the sauce. He was only a kid and yet he put an experienced hunter to shame?

He downed the final two, coughing after each of them before finally resting his head on the counter.

"Ohhhh, what's the matter?" Callie teased, placing Ty's second three shots in a line in front of the youngster.

~*~

"What about Dean?" Sam looked over at his brother, worriedly.

Ty and Faith

Ty grinned, then did his next three shots.

"Ooh."

~*~*~*~

"I'll come back for him."

Faith helped Sam to his feet.

"Come on, I told Dean I would look after you."

Sam & Dean

"It should be the other way around," Sam mused at how the tables had turned.

A hand instinctively went to his stomach as he got up, and he leant on Faith a little until he had his balance.

~*~

Dean groaned.

"Sir?" Callie patted his shoulder.

Dean grabbed her wrist making her jump, then looked up at her.

"You're awesome," he grinned with a chuckle.

Faith and Ty

Faith put her arm around Sam, supporting his weight as they walked.

"Well, when I get stabbed, I promise you can look after me."

She looked at Dean as they were leaving.

"Hey D, I'll be back for you in a bit!" she called.

Ty glanced at Faith, before finishing his next shot. He looked to Dean.

"Nice, getting picked up by her."

Dean

Dean looked up, barely noticing Faith until she was almost out the door.

"Oh yeah. She's hot," he nodded.

"I used to do her, too. Good times my friend."

Ty

"Yeah?"

Ty looked impressed.

"Then what's the deal with her and the other guy?"

Dean

"Sammy?" Dean's eyebrows rose, vaguely noticing Callie giving the musician his third round before leaving them to it.

"They're... not married, anyway."

Ty

"Certainly look like it," Ty commented.

He raised a shot, toasting midair, before tossing it back.

Dean

"They like to think they are," Dean pulled a face, both arms over the counter to try and stop the room spinning.

"And everyone thinks they might as well be. But they ain't."

Ty

Ty smiled a little at that, one of his stolen powers working to put Dean at ease with him.

"Must be weird though, considering you've been with her. Not to mention the obvious."

Dean

"What obvious?" Dean raised an eyebrow.

Ty

"The sexual tension between you and her," Ty shrugged.

"Must make it weird."

Dean

"Nah," Dean chuckled.

"There's sexual tension between me and every chick I've ever done. She's no different. Hey barwench! I mean... Callie!"

She looked up at the sound of her name, finished what she was doing and came over to put a glass of water in front of him. He stared at it as if it were glowing.

"Yes?" she smiled cheekily.

"What is that?"

"Water. Face it baby, you're tanked."

Ty

"Fair enough."

Ty grinned slightly, wondering how far he was going to get into a conversation with Dean.

"What brings you to town?"

Dean

Dean might have been excessively drunk, but he still knew what tavern conversations should and shouldn't entail.

"Passing through on a road trip," he replie, still staring at the water and deciding whether or not to bite.

"Trust me, sugar," Callie leant over again, causing Dean's eyes to raise just slightly, "tell you what. Drink that? I'll make you a surprise."

"The whole thing?" Dean pulled a face.

"Whole thing."

Ty

"Just pretend it's vodka," Ty joked.

He rested his head on his chin, tapping his fingers absently on his knee.

Dean

"Very, very... bland vodka," Dean nodded to himself.

He took a deep breath, then gulped it down.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" Callie teased before he'd finished.

Faith and Ty

Faith walked back into the bar, noting Dean still sitting there looking a little worse for wear.

"Hey, Kiwi," she said, coming up beside Dean. "You good to go?"

Ty's eyes flicked over to the new arrival and he smiled at her when she met his eyes.

Dean

"What? Who said I'm going anywhere?" Dean demanded once he'd put the glass down.

Callie had looked Faith up and down and left to tend to other patrons.

Faith and Ty

"I told Pip I'd come check on you," Faith said, shrugging. "But if you want to stay, that's cool."

Ty listened to the exchange, mind ticking over.

Dean p>"You know, a pip is a seed. He might not find that very flattering considering his 'condition'," Dean slurred.

Faith

Faith snorted.

"Alright, now, am I carrying you home or are you going to stick around?"

Dean

"Stick around. I mean me, not you," Dean made the 'hook in' signal with his hand as he nodded towards Callie.

"Oh and I want you to meet this guy, whoever he is. Steel gut on this kid or something," he indicated Ty.

Ty and Faith

"Hey," Ty greeted, waving. "I'm Ty."

"You're with the band," Faith nodded.

"Yep, that's me... you're...?"

"Faith," she replied, and took his offered hand for a shake.

Ty almost shivered with the power he could feel as he made contact with Faith's hand.

Dean

Dean snickered to himself.

"Ty as in Tai food," he grinned, "I amuse me."

Ty and Faith

"I get that a lot," Ty said, grinning also, then returned his attention to Faith.

"Well, seeing as you're not playing babysitter for that one, how about you stay for a few drinks?"

Faith shook her head.

"Nah, I shouldn't... better get back to the other one."

"Ah," Ty said, winking at Dean. "Married."

Dean

Dean broke into alcohol fuelled chuckles again.

Faith and Ty

Faith looked at Dean, a confused look on her face.

"Oh, we're not married," she said to Ty.

Ty laughed. "Yeah, I know. Just act like it."

Dean

"Well, they probably don't argue enough for a married couple yet," Dean pointed out, finally able to lift his head enough to watch Callie's every movement.

Ty and Faith

"Honeymoon stage," Ty said, with a nod. "Gotcha."

"Right." Faith stood awkwardly for a moment. "Anyway, I better get back to him."

Ty grinned faintly.

Dean

"You do that. Callie!" Dean called her.

Callie glanced at Faith, but made her way over.

"Yes hun?"

"I think you owe me a surprise."

Callie grinned.

"Back in a few."

Faith and Ty

"Alright, see ya tomorrow maybe."

Faith sketched a salute at Dean, then started to move from where she had been standing.

"Nice to meet you," Ty said.

She turned to look at him and his eyes held hers for a second.

"You too..."

Dean

Dean checked his watch, noticing it was almost time for Callie's shift to be over.

"Yeah see ya," he said to Faith, not even looking at her.

"Callie! Come on woman, bring it!"

Ty

Ty's eyes followed Faith out the door, then he returned his attention to his drink on the bar.

Dean

Dean raised an eyebrow at his drinking buddy.

"You got a thing for her too now?" he asked.

Ty

"What?" Ty looked over at Dean.

"Nah, but she's nice to watch."

Dean

"Oh yeah, she is," Dean agreed with a smirk as he turned back to the bar.

"But if you go near her I'll break your legs. Thankyou, finally!" he grinned at Callie as he took the rainbow coloured shot she'd made.

He looked it over, shrugged, then downed it.

Ty

Ty raised his eyebrows slightly, then noticed his other target starting to leave.

"Rightio. Anyway, I should be off as well. See ya round."

Dean

"Yep," Dean was soon distracted by Callie's return.

She grinned at him as she removed her apron.

"You ready?" she asked.

"Been waiting," Dean stood and somehow managed to make it to the end of the bar without stumbling.
