Repercussions

Miette and Prince Harry

"So, what happening?"

"Well, it's a bit of a your word against mine situation," Miette said. "Her friends say that Duke said his power was under control, and Robyn said he said it wasn't. Security footage can't confirm either story. The anit-mutants are supporting her claim that he violated her privacy. The pro-celebrities are claiming that it can't possibly be Duke's fault and that this girl is clearly trying to get money from him -"

"Which she is."

"Indeed. Her lawyer is trying to convince Duke's to settle out of court, but Duke - as his lawyer for that matter - is refusing."

"Good for him."

"And of course, all the Duke and Fairview fans all maintain Duke's innocence."

Prince Harry chuckled.

"And everyone's screaming for justice, but as I said, there's no evidence either way. I think it's really going to depend on the personal leanings of the jury. Unless of course, we get a lawyer that's able to create a particularily damning picture of the other," Miette sounded dubious. "I'm not sure what her history is like, so, yeah..."

Prince Harry nodded.

"I really wish it was more clear cut and not so ambiguious," he said. "This is going to be... well, it's going to be really important, not just for Duke, but for future mutant related privacy violation proceedings."

Miette paused.

"The pro-Royals are on our side too."

Prince Harry cracked a smile.

"If only we could be sure of the leanings of the jury."

"You had better stay out of it," Miette advised.

"Yeah, yeah, I know."

"Oh a side note, the press is describing Robyn as Duke's girlfriend."

Prince Harry snorted.

"Well, that was inevitable, I suppose."

"Yeah, Duke and Robyn are getting a big kick out of it."

"Hmph, at least someone's amused."
