You Shouldn't Have Done That

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Lindsey, Faith and Angel

Lindsey slammed the door behind him, a grin on his face as he approached Sam.

"Morning!"

~*~*~*~

Faith glanced at Angel as he drove.

"If he's hurt him, I will kill him," she said, deadly serious. "I'm sorry."

Angel shook his head. "Don't be."

Sam

Jumping as the door was slammed, Sam looked up from where he sat back against the side wall. Knowing another sedative shot was coming, he screamed telepathically one last time...

"FAITH! IT'S LINDSEY! HURRY!"

He'd been trying all night, and he wasn't sure if it was even working. But he had to try. He remembered when Andrew Gallagher had tried long-distance telepathy, he'd needed something of Dean's to use to contact him. Sam didn't have anything of Faith's. Nothing but his feelings.

But still, it was really all he had.

"HURRY!"

Faith, Angel and Lindsey

Faith let out a cry of pain, eyes watering as Sam's message got through.

"You ok?" Angel asked, not taking his eyes off the road.

"Yeah," Faith replied, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Just... hurry."

~*~*~*~

"I have it," Lindsey grinned, bringing the knife out.

"And it'll work this time."

Sam

"What are you gonna do?" Sam was panting from the telepathic work as he looked up with fear in his eyes.

Angel, Faith and Lindsey

Angel had barely stopped the car when Faith was out, door to the building flying off it's hinges as she moved.

~*~*~*~

"Finish it correctly," Lindsey told him.

He took a slow step over to Sam.

Sam

"How?" Sam frowned, suddenly wishing he hadn't sat against the wall so he'd still have somewhere to go.

Lindsey, Faith and Angel

"Like this."

Lindsey brandished the knife at Sam for a moment, then slammed it into his stomach.

Faith dropped down from the vent in the ceiling, just in time to watch the knife come sliding back out of Sam.

"Big mistake," she said, bringing her own knife down, her strength finding no resistance, even when it came to bone.

Lindsey cried out in pain, just as Angel came crashing through the door.

Sam

Sam didn't even notice the intruders, blinded by the sharp pain in his abdomen.

He doubled over as far as he could without falling, wishing with everything that the cains would just fall off so he could hold the wound with his hands.

Faith, Lindsey and Angel

"Keys," Faith demanded and with his uninjured hand, Lindsey handed them to her.

She turned her attention to Sam, and unlocked the padlock, pulling the chains off his body with one hand, the other sliding over his wound.

Lindsey turned to run, when he came face to face with Angel.

Sam

Sam choked a little, coughing up more blood to cover what had already dried on his lips the night before.

He closed his eyes again and fell forward.

Faith, Angel and Lindsey

Faith caught Sam before he hit the ground, turning to Angel.

"Angel, time to motivate!"

Angel snarled, eyes gleaming gold as he threw Lindsey against the wall, one hand encircling his throat.

"Hurt him, I hurt you," Angel growled. "I'm just a little more efficient about it."

Faith applied pressure to Sam's wound with one hand, the other brushing his hair from his eyes.

"It's ok," she said softly. "I've got you."

Sam

Sam choked again, coughing on more blood, before his eyes slid closed again and he fell unconscious.

Angel, Lindsey and Faith

"This isn't over," Angel said to Lindsey, dropping the other man to the ground, holding his arm in pain.

He turned to Faith and helped her lift Sam up.
