"Mom, I won't! I won't leave!" There were tears in Tru's eyes as she pleaded with Faith, holding onto her mother's arms.
"Tru," Faith pulled her daughter in close, restng her head on top of Tru's. "You have to, baby. For me."
"No!" Tru was stubborn, holding tightly onto her mother. "You can't do this! I can't go away knowing you're going to be... I won't go!"
"Baby, you have to go," Faith told her, rubbing her daughter's back gently.
"Why? No! I won't!"
"Because I can't fight if I know you're there," Faith replied, kissing the top of her head. "Because I'll worry too much about you. Because I can't lose you as well. If I know you're away from here, I know you're safe... then that's all I care about."
Tru's shoulders shook and she buried her head in Faith's neck, hiccuping and crying. "Where do you want me to go?"
"Angel's organised you a flight to Paris," Faith told her. "You'll be staying with their branch of Wolfram and Hart. Luke said he will go to keep you company and to help keep you safe."
"Mommy," Tru pulled away from Faith and looked her in the eyes. "Please don't die."
"I don't plan to, baby."
