"Hello?"
"Oh so you do answer your phone occasionally."
Isaac winced at the annoyed tone in Nikki's voice.
"Occasionally," he replied cheerfully. "I was going to call you today."
"Oh, were you now? Would it have anything to do with you moving out?"
"Uhh, yes..."
"Well? I'm waiting?"
"I decided to move out of Taylor's place. Now that he and Nat are married... well, newlywed couple and all that don't really want their brother living with them, I'm sure. So I moved back in with Mum and Dad."
"Uh huh."
"I'm living in the basement again," Isaac went on chuckling. "Actually, it's not so bad. Lots of room, nice and spacious."
"Uh huh. And you didn't think about telling me before I decided to visit you and humilate myself in front of that Natalie girl?"
Isaac was silent.
"Well," Isaac said. "I was waiting until everything was sorted. And you never come over anyway."
"That's hardly the point now is it?"
"Well, I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention to upset you."
More silence. Isaac sighed.
"You're not going to break up with me again, are you?"
"Not this time."
"Well, good," Isaac replied, greatly relieved. "So you forgive me?"
"I suppose so."
"Yay."
Nikki couldn't help herself and giggled.
