I realize just what I miss every time I feel like this

Written by Nessa and Joy

Oz

Oz pulled up outside the school, wondering if he was about to make a mistake. He and Willow hadn't been he and Willow for a very long time, was it really right to reopen old wounds?

But another voice kept asking him the same question... what if they were meant to be together?

That cinched it, and with shaking hands, Oz put the car into park and jumped out, heading into the school.

Maura

Maura was passing by when she saw a man with spiky hair looking very uncomfortable. The foot-and-a-half long pixie flitted over towards the man.

"Hello. Are you looking for someone?"

Oz

"Yeah actually, Willow Rosenberg. Please?"

Oz shrugged slightly.

Talking, he didn't really like doing it.

Maura

"Oh, sure," Maura said, helpfully. "The main building's up this way. Just follow me. She should be in her office right now."

Oz

Oz nodded.

"Thanks."

He followed behind her, noting Willow's scent getting stronger and stronger.

Maura

Maura led the man to the main office and pressed a buzzer.

"Yes?"

"Ms. Rosenberg, there is a young man here to see you."

"Send him in," she said, wondering who it was,

"It's up to the third floor, third door on the right," Maura said, pointing to an elevator.

Oz

Oz nodded. "Thanks."

He walked over to the elevator and pressed the button, stepping in the moment the doors opened. He jabbed for the third floor and watched the numbers slowly ascend.

After what seemed like forever, but was really a matter of seconds, the doors reopened and Oz stepped out, taking a long breath as he reached Willow's door.

Then he lifted his hand and knocked.

Willow

Willow was doing some paperwork at her desk when Maura buzzed her to say a young man had arrived. She wondered who it was, but didn't have long to wondre before there was a knock at her door.

"Come in!" She said.

Oz

Oz opened the door and gave a slight smile.

"Hey."

Willow

"Oz!" Willow squealed. She jumped up and ran to hug him.

"What bring you here?"

Oz

Oz hugged her back, breathing in her scent.

"You, of course."

Willow

Willow grinned, getting all flittery. "How long are you in town? Do you have a place to stay? How's the band doing?" She paused to try and stop babling. "Oh, I missed you."

Oz

"I missed you too."

Oz looked around her office.

"Not sure, a hotel, and as well as we normally do."

Willow

"Want to stay here?" Willow asked, her babble-reflex taking over. "I mean, there's extra rooms in the Headmaster's house, and it's just me & Giles and Robbie there, and it would totally be okay, and I'd love to have you around, and, oh, I'm babbling again," she said.

Oz

"You're cute when you babble," Oz said, reaching out to take Willow in a hug.

Willow

"Thanks," Willow said, blushing. She folded herself into Oz's arms. It was like coming home again.

"Can I just stay right here, forever?"

Oz

"That sounds fine to me."

Oz was silent for a moment, just holding her.

"Will?"

Willow

Willow turned her face towards Oz's.

"Yeah?" she asked.

Oz

Oz held her gaze for a few seconds, then he found he had to look away, just in case whatever he said next wasn't received well. He did not want to remember Willow's eyes if he hurt her.

"Could we still... I mean, I'd still, I'd very still..."

He returned his eyes to hers.

Willow

"I'd still, I'd very still," Willow said. "I've missed you. Like, a lot. Like, completely." She reached out and placed two fingers under Oz's chin, gently pulling his gaze towards her. "Yes please," she said simply.

Oz

Oz actually smiled, then pulled her closer to him for a kiss.

Willow

Willow leaned into the kiss.

Pulling back, she looked at Oz.

"I never stopped loving you. Not when I was with Tara, not before, or after. You're my first true love," she said, blushing a bit,

Oz

Oz touched her cheek gently.

"And you're mine."

Willow

Willow held on tightly to Oz.

"Why didn't we stop being dumb sooner?" she asked.

Oz

"A lot of things were happening," Oz said, shrugging slightly. "But it's finally happened, so I'm happy."

Oz kissed her forehead gently.

Willow

"Me too," Willow said. "I was serious before, though. If you and the Dingoes want to stay here on campus, you can. Giles and I have a house, and it's really big. Lots of extra rooms." She snuggled into his shoulder. He was just so comfy.

"Also, the big back-to-school dance is coming up. I was just planning on getting house music, but if yo guys wanted to play for part of the night, that would totally rock."

Oz

"Maybe," Oz said, thinking it over.

Everything just seemed to be happening really quickly.

"I'm not sure how long we'll end up staying though... but of course I'll come visit often."

Willow

"K, I'm pushing again. I get carried away sometimes," Willow said.

Oz

"It's ok," Oz reassured her.

"I just want to take it one step at a time."
