Orion closed his email and went looking for Zac. He had decided to move to Cleveland, and start going to school with his brothers. Especially now that cassie was a Slayer, all three of them wanted to study at the Watcher Academy. They all felt the need to take care of their sister.
"Hey, Uncle Zac?" Orion said. He'd gotten used to calling Zac and his siblings uncles and aunts, just out of respect.
Zac and Saku
"Yeah, Orion?" Zac asked, putting down his pen and looking up at his son's cousin. "What can I do you for?"
Saku looked up at Orion from his curled up position on the couch. He was in his cat form at the moment.
Orion
"WEll, i know you're going on tour soon, so I've decided to join my brothers at the boarding school in Cleveland. They say they're learning all sorts of stuff about our godling magic and powers, and how to use and control our innate magic. Also, other things, that if we were to go to a regular high school we'd already be expected to know. I mean, homeschooling here has totally helped me, I'm learning how to read and write, but I need to learn things you can't teach me. Plus I wouldn't want to get in the way on tour. I totally thank you for taking me in, though. I'd probably still be sleeping on the streets if it weren't for you. Oh, and Mr. Doyle said that Saku was welcome too. Not everyone who goes there will become a Watcher," Orion said. At that point, he realized he was rambling.
Zac and Saku
Zac nodded slowly as Saku resumed his human form, eyes bright.
"Well, you wouldn't be in the way on tour," Zac assured him. "But never let it be said I stood in the way of anyone getting further education. Would you like to go to Saku?"
"Yes," Saku replied, nodding enthusiatically. "It sounds great!"
"Well, I certainly can't teach you guys magic, even if I can teach you about Dathrian power," Zac said. "When will you leave? Not that I'm in a rush to 'get rid of you' or anything."
Orion
"School starts the first week of September, but we can move in early. I was thinking next weekend, the 20th or 21st. Mr. Doyle said there's a free room, next door to Percy and Draco's room."
Zac and Saku
"Okay," Zac said. "You want me to come with you, or would you rather go by yourselves?"
"Oh, we'll be right," Saku said, bouncing on the lounge.
Orion
"Yep. We've been there before, for the school dance that turned into a big battle. PLus we have family there. Actually, we could probably go this weekend, if we really wanted to, but I don't know if Saku wants to still spend more time with his family first," Orion said.
Zac and Saku
"I think I'll stay until next weekend," Saku said. "I'm not going to see these guys again for months, so yeah."
"Aww," Zac teased, but inwardly he was pleased to get some more time with Saku before they split up.
Orion
"Yeah, I've gotten to really like living here," Orion said. "Thank you again, "Uncle Zac," he said, hugging him.
Zac and Saku
Zac hugged him back.
"That's okay," he said. "I'm glad I could help. You're welcome back any time."
"Me too?" asked Saku with a grin.
"Of course you are, dopey."
Orion
"I'm gonna go email Percy and Draco and tell them Oh! And guess what else? Cassie's a Slayer! She just found out," Orion said, bouncing.
Zac and Saku
"Wait, Cassie's a slayer? Wouldn't that mean she'll want to stake herself?" Zac asked.
"Nah, these guys are good," Saku said. "They have souls."
Orion
"Yep. At least, that's what others tell me. I certainly hope I have a soul an am not evil," Orion said, still bouncing a bit. "I'm gonna go email them, and then sort through my clothes. We both have washing to do before we can go," Orion said seriously. "Can't go to school with dirty clothes."
Zac and Saku
"Well, you could," Zac grinned. "But it might give everyone a back impression. Especially if it's got noticable stains on it."
Saku chuckled.
Orion
Orion grinned. He was definitely glad that Zac had taught him how to read, because now he could email his siblings. his spelling was still atrocious, though.
"Yeah, besides, you know us cats, we always have to look our best." And he headed off to email and sort clothes.
