A Trip to Genovia

Written by Michelle

Rogue, Shannon, Mark

At the Genovian teleportation amplifier, a group of students from the Xavier Institute materialised on the platform.

"This way please," said the conductor.

Rogue, well and truly familar with teleportation proceedure by now, gestured for the students (some barely younger than her), to get off the platform so that the next group could arrive. She lead her group through the tedious, but neccesary customs and immigration. Once all the rigmarole was complete, all the teachers and students who had chosen to come along were standing around in a group. Rogue imagined that the school was rather empty at the moment.

They were immediately approached by a young man.

"Xavier Insititute?" he inquired.

"That is us," Shannon confirmed.

"Great, the bus is just outside. I'm your driver, Pierre."

"It is good to meet you. I hope that the students do not drive you crazy."

"I'm sure it'll be fine."

The group followed Pierre out to the bus, who loaded their luggage in the compartment underneath. Everyone piled on the bus. Mark decided that the best spot for him to sit would be up the front, as far away from the 'cool kids' up the back as possible.

Finally, Pierre finished loading the luggage, and got into the drivers seat. As they drove off, Rogue stood up so that everyone could see her. Once they had quieted down, she made her announcement:

"We're heading to the inn where we are going to be staying. We'll check in, sort out our rooms and drop our luggage off. We're going to be staying there for the rest of the day, and you may use the facilities there as you wish, provided you stay on your best behaviour. The first person to start misbehaving gets a one way trip back to the school, understand? Good," Rogue nodded. "I would hate to have to make that decision. Just looking out of the windows now, you can already see what a beautiful country this is. Tomorrow morning we'll all meet at the lobby at nine: we're going to enjoy a coach tour of Genovia to begin. Don't be late."

On that, Rogue sat down again.

"This is so awesome," said Geri. "I've never been out of the country before."

"I just can't believe that we can actually go out in public and walk down the street and stuff without worrying about getting rocks thrown at us or something," Arthur said.

Geri looked at Arthur's green scales and raised her eyebrows.

"Since when did you ever worry about getting hit by rocks?"

Queenie giggled.

"She does have a point there."

"The point is... no persectution," Arthur said. "All is good."
